We had a great experience at Lafort’s Seafood. The crawfish and all the fixings were seasoned perfectly and tasted amazing. The place was clean, welcoming, and had a great atmosphere. The staff was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be back!

Walked in and was greeted by two sweet ladies, the menu all looked delicious! Had to try my all time go-to: shrimp poboy, all dressed. It was outstanding! Shrimp were crisp, fresh, and well seasoned; bread was fresh and toasted crispy

Lefort’s Seafood Restaurant in Marrero is the next chapter in the Lefort’s Seafood business and is kicked up a notch for sure! Opening week has been quite busy each time we’ve pulled into the parking lot. I don’t think the new owners have slept much as every day has been exciting for them from what we can tell. The staff is very friendly and the menu options are ever changing.

First impressions are everything! I’m very impressed. The staff was inviting, the prices were competitive, but most important, MY CRABS WERE FANTASTIC!!!!! Since I’ve been on the Westbank, I’ve never had better crabs. I will always buy my boiled crabs here. I’ve visited 2 other seafood places within 2 miles for crabs and there is no comparison. They were so hot, fresh and juicy!!! I’m extremely satisfied with this visit. Pictures below.

Westbank if New Orleans in Harvey, old school decor, metal building, boil and fry shack out back, big to go business, serves all the favorites, menu written on chalk board, crabs, boiled crawfish, red beans, thin cut fried catfish & shrimp, fries with tony’s seasoning, gumbo loaded with chicken. Hard pass on the Jambalaya unless you like just a side of rice cooked with tomato. Cold Barq’s Rootbeer in a bottle. Affordable, especially of you buy big quantity of fried fish. Food was tasty and seasoned. Personally, Fish could be more crisp, crawfish could be spicier, sides like corn and potatoes were not included in the price. Had to chase down a plastic silverware 5 minutes after served the gumbo. Got a spoon. Never saw a fork or knife. Staff hangs in back of kitchen or outside. Boiled crawfish places usually offer condiments. None here. But, those are the quirks of small town, old school restaurants like Sals. I would eat here again now that I know the drill. You will be filled.

I dropped by Sals Seafood for some crawfish today. I love the fact that their boiled items were seasoned. “Just Right ” You can buy cold crawfish at a reduced price of $ 3.50 a lb & and a hot crawfish at $4.75 a lb there are extras such as boiled corn, potatoes , sausage, garlic,& boiled crabs. ( no crabs today) The staff was nice& professional ( I left a tip ). Their restaurant wasn’t serving cooked food today. They have other tasty to go items jambalaya, potato salad, stuffed eggs, stuffed fish, etc. BC I have eaten their seafood many times , and I would highly recommend their boiled seafood. I don’t have any comments on their restaurant foods, poboys, etc

I will be coming to Sal’s every time I am in town. My husband and I were recently in town with our four kids, one of which is non-verbal autistic. The staff were very patient with him and talked to him while my husband and I (and our kids) ate our crawfish and other meals. We will be back for sure. Crawfish was on point!
