Beef soup: As shown in the picture, the soup was extremely greasy, had almost no flavor, and came with a strange unpleasant odor. It tasted spoiled and clearly not fresh.
Rice noodle roll:The pork had a strong bad smell. I took one bite and immediately had to spit it out. This raises serious food safety concerns.
We waited nearly 30 minutes for the clay pot rice, which is unreasonably slow considering the restaurant was not that busy.
Extremely poor management: Staff members were arguing loudly inside the restaurant due to communication issues, which created a very uncomfortable dining environment. After the previous guests left, dirty dishes and utensils were left on the table for 30–40 minutes without being cleared.
Overall, the restaurant has serious problems with food quality, service efficiency, and management. This experience was far below acceptable standards. I would not return and do not recommend it.
BBQ pork fried rice – dry and salty
Beef Pork Shrimp Rice Roll – dry and zero flavor
Signature lean meat nannying old friends rice noodles – this one is a joke. Flavorless and served in a pot which looks like what I would do at home for instant noodles (see picture)
Black pepper beef fried noodles – very salty and couldn’t taste any black pepper flavor
Stir fried beef rice noodle – flavorless and dry. The noodles didn’t even have the “char” which is what this dish is all about.
Other than the bad food, there was zero service. You need to get your own utensils/sauce/napkins from the service station. Floor is sticky and greasy.
Will not come back again.
Definitely feels authentic, and the food comes out fresh and hot. Bought two different porridge. The porridges are a little watery, not very dense so they might not be filling.
Sampan porridge was really good. The shrimp was perfect. Plenty of fish and pork. The eggs was very limited.
Preserved egg and pork tasted similar, the porridges are very light so it allows folks to add pepper. I personally like it lighter so it’s great that it allows others for adjusting.
The deep fried dough is great, perfectly made. Will probably buy it to go once in awhile.
The rice rolls are really tasty! One of them was sold out, so I tried the beef pork shrimp roll. Would highly recommend
Very clean and organized site. The staff are quick and efficient.
