Finally decided to give this place a try after getting a BOGO coupon for the chicken sandwich. I had the spicy one. I went in thinking it would be just another chicken sandwich, nothing game changing. I was wrong. This is the absolute best chicken sandwich I have ever had in my life. The sauce with the pickles was a perfect combo. The chicken is large and juicy. I couldn’t eat two of them. I was so mind blown I had to come here and leave this review, literally just finished eating it. Highly recommend.

I was hungry and I went to lees famous chicken to get so chicken to eat. I was so disappointed! I came by at 1:45 pm in the afternoon and there was no cars on the drive-thru. I ordered the #1 spicy chicken and mashed potatoes. They were not busy and they gave me nasty, ordered, cold chicken and a dried out hard biscuit. The health department needs to close this place down. I would have waited if they would have said it will be a 10 minute wait on fresh chicken. No, they choose to give me the chicken and biscuit that has been laying around since they opened at 10:00 am. Thats a shame there is no supervision to ensure good quality hot food is coming out of there store. Please don’t waste your hard earned money here at this store. You deserve better! Make a better choice.

I went back to Lee’s on Gratiot in Roseville and tried their spicy chicken sandwich again, and this time it was so good. The sauce was perfect — not too heavy, not dry, just the right amount of heat and flavor. It honestly tasted completely different from the first time I had it, in a good way. This is how the sandwich should always be made. If they keep it like this, it’s easily one of the best spicy chicken sandwiches around.
I actually called the store and spoke with a manager to let them know, and they were really happy to hear the feedback, which I appreciated.
One of my favorite things about Lee’s is that their chicken is Halal. I really wish they would make that more visible, because it matters to a lot of people and it’s something they should be proud of.
Definitely coming back — just keep that sandwich the way it was this time.

Got a drive-thru order at Monday at 2:00. Had my #8 chicken tender combo ready real quick. The quality of meat was great. It was giant. 3 Huge perfectly cooked pieces. Kept me full all day long. Didn’t even have dinner later.

Been wanting to try Lee’s after going past it a few times during my visit to Detroit. When one reviewer said that the chicken here were better than KFC and Popeye’s, I just had to try it. After all, it was a bold claim.
The fried chicken definitely resemble KFC original recipe, though I agree that I prefer Lee’s. The chicken skin is crunchier than KFC one, and the seasoning is not as salty, either, which is good for me. A pleasant surprise is that you can also order chicken liver and gizzards, and they’re great! The liver was flavourful, and the gizzards held their shape while being tender, even after being fried and breaded.
Their selection of side dishes definitely resembles Popeye’s. I personally like the Cajun rice, though it was a bit oily at the bottom. The corn was okay (we added butter and honey to it to make it more appetizing), and the coleslaw was on point. The biscuits were definitely better than Popeye’s for me, even beating Church’s chicken biscuits. Since the meal comes with two sides, a biscuit, and a Pepsi pop, you definitely won’t go hungry.

Went to Lees chicken at around 4:15 pm after having my car serviced across the street. I ordered the 3wing meal and something told me to look in the box and to my surprise uggh! Wings were super tiny and brown on the bones, the Mac and cheese was portioned for a kids meal. The manger came up looking confused but you could tell this wasn’t his first rodeo with complaints, he then insisted giving me more Mac and cheese but wanted my box (I refused)he then offered me another wing and came back with three tiny wings in a container.FOOD WAS HORRIBLE!!!! I paid $10 should HAVE WENT TO CHI FIL A. I wanted my money but instead thought he was making it better but instead GAVE ME OLD CHICKEN!!!!! IM SO DISSATISFIED WITH WHAT I GOT FOR MY HARD EARN MONEY, THEY SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SELL OLD CHICKEN PERIOD!

Listen the prices are reasonable here, but it will be my First and last time coming here. My chicken was raw!! Still pink in the middle I spit it out. From reading the other reviews this is a problem for many others getting raw chicken. This is not ok! The food was so bland. Chicken pot pie was disgusting. The tenders were nothing special. I ordered 2 sides of Mac-&-cheese and found out they weren’t in the bag when I got home. We ended up only picking at the biscuits because they were decent. I’m honestly scared to even try the mashed potatoes!

Idk what the other people ordered and who they dealt with but I came in today around 12:30 and greeted almost immediately. The atmosphere was awesome and I was able to place my order and leave with a carryout in less than 10 minutes. I ordered 3 piece spicy wing snack which came with a biscuit. Two 5-piece strips, 2 cherry turnovers and 3 apple. The food was tasty, the wings weren’t spicy at all but reminded me of how KFC used to taste….good with great seasoning. One thing to note, if you’re used to the way the strips are packaged in Livonia meaning you always got more than what you ordered, that didn’t happen here. But the food was good. I will definitely be going back

If I could give a zero I would. I asked for a fresh order of chicken livers. Waited 8 minutes for them and the cook whom I just watched come from outside in a van smoking,had the nerve to drop some old livers back in the grease. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!…. I went on the website. No form for me to fill out.
