Update… Saturday at 12:45. Maybe a bad day but chicken cold, small, and very thin. Not a $16 box! Old Review here: I am a fried chicken connoisseur. My review of Lee’s in Mount Sterling has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times!. After encountering multiple disappointments at this Lee’s I was hopeful when I saw a sign that said “Under New Management”. Two times in a row we were served the best chicken ever… it was actually hot & fresh, big tender juicy pieces. The lady who served us today went out of her way to greet us and make sure our order was perfect. The sweet tea was spot on and the potato wedges were hot and tasty. Cannot wait to go back.

Before Covid-19, Lee’s had a buffet and I had never been through the drive thru… I always loved the place, and they deserved a 4 star in this fast food chicken arena.
I have tried several times during this pandemic to order food for the family through the drive-thru window… I have never gotten what I ordered, and when I complained to the manager they still did not make it right.
Today, I saw a sign outside saying that the dining room was open again. I was happy, because I believed that I would get a good Lee’s meal. When I stepped inside, I found the buffet table had been removed. One of the staff noticed my face drop right away, and asked what was wrong. I asked if they still had a buffet, and she told me they did not. She told me, that this they had one 7 days a week since they opened, and this was the first time they could not. She asked what she could get me, but I knew that no one there would get me the chicken I asked for, and I left.

I’m writing to review again. Just thought I would let you all know that this place still does not know what pieces should be in a 12 piece meal. A chicken does not have 5 legs, 4 theighs, 1 breast, and 2 wings. And this is not the value I paid for either.

Very slow service, appeared to be only two employees working at the time. The biscuits taste like half baked dough with too much shortening. The dining room was very cold. Last Sunday people were leaving without eating because the service was extremely slow. The hot food bar was empty most of the time. Very poor place to eat. Customers were complaining. I don’t know who owns this restaurant but someone needs to tell him that word of mouth is the best advertisement he’s got.

Stopped by for lunch today. The buffet bar was empty and what was there had been there since opening. Then two items that was on the menu that I tried to get for lunch , I was told that they hadn’t had it for over two years and not even sure what it was. This place needs new management or owners. But they do have refreshments, dried out chicken rock hard biscuits and cold mashed potatoes and gravy. So stop at your own risk!

This place is unorganized, no one knows what to do. Everyone is standing at the front counter waiting on their food. No cups were offered so we could have have our drinks while waiting on our meal. The place was ice cold, my nose was dripping, it was so cold. The buffett, do I need to mention that? Not attended to. Their debit card machine wasn’t working so only cash paying customers were taken. The last time I was here….MANY MONTHS AGO….the debit machine didn’t work, I think I would get that fixed. I am quite sure I’ll not be back again.

This has to be the worst food experience of my life! None of the employees are wearing masks. Flies buzzing everywhere! Lady behind register taking my order looked high on something. Out of coleslaw and most of the drinks were out of order. Taking cash only. After paying for my food I went to the bathroom were I was attacked by at lest 10 flies . No soap or paper towels in bathroom. So not sure how people working there are washing their hands. After that saw more flies when they got the chicken out of the case. At this point I told them to cancel my order. Did not offer a refund. I left. They do not deserve a one star but that’s as low as I could leave. If you value your health do not eat here.

Order classic chicken and they told me that I would have to wait 15mins for some to be made. I thought yeah fresh hot chicken it took them 45mins to get me my 8 piece. They made the wrong kind and for it taking so long they gave me a free small drink and a extra piece of chicken. It was mostly clean in there and the women’s bathroom was out of order. Not sure if I will go back or not the chicken was greasy and really salty.

Lee’s chicken is good, but if you like gizzards, it is the only place I have found that has them. They are delicious when fresh, though they are not always fresh. They now have oven roasted chicken, though today they were out of it. They have a wide variety of sides and all taste good.

Received old Dru andost likely contaminated chicken…mare me sick..informed management later and offered more food at a later date. Called ahead and ordered and waited til I was almost late to work. Five other customers served before and kept being told they could not fill my order due to all the new sales being made!!! I already bought your product and heating this for small compensation for money I already spent!!! Treated as a nuisance and put off til I had to leave or be late for work

Lee’s is coming back up. If you haven’t been there in a while, I recommend giving it another try! They’re service is great and food is amazing. It’s our new favorite place to eat. You should definitely eat here!
