I ordered a Stromboli, and I could tell the ingredients used were better than the average pizza place.
Unfortunately, that is where the positives end.
I ordered online using the coupon. There was no option for dine in but I figured it wouldn’t be an issue to sit down and eat real quick. However when I arrived I saw they had a sign that said seating was for dine in customers only. There was no one else in the place other than me and the employees, so when the worker up front came back with my food I asked if I could sit and eat real quick and she said no problem.
I thanked her and sat down to eat, but then a few minutes later another employee comes out of the back and says with an attitude “there’s a sign right there that says seating is for dine in only” and so I let him know I asked the hostess who gave me my food and she said it was fine if I sat and ate. But he just kept repeating what he said like I was speaking another language, probably four or five times we just talked in a circle until he finally said “well you’re fine this time” or something like that. That employee really acted like I was causing some huge inconvenience by sitting and eating my lunch even though there was not a single other person in that restaurant, and I had asked if I could. I felt very unwelcomed, so I hurried to finish my food and get out of there.
Less important, but also of note, my Stromboli was not really edible as a Stromboli, The bottom of the dough was so thin that it basically fell apart. If you’re going to put moist fillings like cheese, mushrooms and peppers in a Stromboli or calzone, you need to leave the bottom part of the dough thick enough to stand up to that.
All of this means I am reluctant to ever return here.
To start, the pizza is AMAZING, 5 stars. I just did a small pep pan style and it was by far the best part of the meal. I would easily go back just for this.
The fried chicken is really good as well. Very crispy and flavorful.
The jojos and fries were just ok. I prefer jojos to be cut smaller so they aren’t super large. I couldn’t quite figure out why I didn’t like the fries. I’m not sure if it’s the seasoning or something else but they just weren’t great to me. I didn’t even finish them.
The boneless wings were most disappointing and this is what I wanted to like the most. There was so little sauce on them which to me was a big fail. Wings should be completely covered in sauce. These were borderline just drizzled with it. If I had known the wing sauce was going to be this stingy, I would have just ordered an extra side of it.
I’m hoping to go back and maybe I can up my review a star (or two) but for now I felt like it was very mid overall.
