The line was too long at that other Vietnamese sandwich place. Since the last Lee’s Sandwiches in SF shut down in the TL, we wanted to get a taste of nostalgia before another Lee’s shut down. No wait at this location. The drinks menu TV was turned off and drinks weren’t available. The large #1 combo sandwich $9.49 at Lee’s comes with red coloring dye on the meat that transfers onto the bread. It is a thin sandwich on a french baguette. Good flavors overall. Shorter sandwiches are available for $5. They don’t have the styrofoam plate food with saran wrap selection like they use to. It was only a few plates by the cashier. For to-go, I remember they used to have whole shelves full of tasty Vietnamese cuisine.

Normally only go to the downtown location but was in the neighborhood and decided to grab onebto go. Ordered a grilled pork banh mi. Took a bite and the flavor was off. The pork tasted “old” and the veggies had little crunch to them.

The sandwiches were ok, but the meats are not freshly made on the same day due to the holiday. The bread was fresh and tender. There is no more buy 4 get 1 free promotion in this store.

After eating… not bad. Pretty good. I’m told this place has been around for years.
Worth another trip. Will try other sandwiches next time.
OMG, I did not know I came across a major restaurant chain. Wow. They have over 10 restaurants all over. Incredible. When you have that many restaurants, it’s hard to make every restaurant special and unique. The owner should take better action to make sure everyone is working to achieve greatness.

Delicious coffee and sandwiches! I ordered a couple pork egg rolls as well and they were yummy! The bread for their Vietnamese sandwich is delicious, I ordered a chicken sandwich but even just with the mayo and veggies the sandwich will taste so good because of the bread! I took some home with me! This is my go to after I go to Tofu’s Trading across the street.

I ordered coffee with no ice, they gave me a cup less than half full and said I have to pay double if I want a full cup of coffee. Terrible, never going back
