This is my go to restaurant in Chinatown. Although a small restaurant, the food is authentic and delicious, reasonably priced, and fair portions. The variety of their menu is good and quality of their dishes are consistent and very tasty!

My GF loves their homemade fish ball soup with vegetables! I love their chow mein with green vegetables.

This hidden gem has a steady stream of regular customers. We always eat here multiple times when we visit.

Highly recommended.

My wife and I are visiting the Hawaii islands for the 1st time; we are trying to soak up as much Honolulu as possible during this 5 night stay. Today was Lolani Palace, Queen Emma’s Summer palace and finished the day off with an early dinner in Chinatown. Lo Foo Hook Cantonese restaurant in the Asian Culture Center was FABULOUS DELICIOUS. Start with home sweet lemon tea, iced. Sautéed pork with sweet n sour cabbage, shrimp with assorted veggies and a shared plate of fried fish balls, a must. Chinatown is must stop Honolulu walkabout and Le Foo Hook is a must stop lunch/dinner choice.

Solid place with large portions and affordable prices! Owner has run this for 29 years!

We got the:
• Fried Fish Balls (6 Pieces)
• Wonton w/ Noodles and extra Fish Balls
• Minute Chicken Cake Noodles
• Beef Fried Fun

The flavors of the beef fried fun were nice and balanced. The minute chicken cake noodles had juicy chicken with great flavor, nice veggies, and crispy cake noodles. The wonton noodles we pretty good wonton soup. Fried fish balls were nice as well!

The space is a little tight, but we were able to sit comfortably for a hole in the wall!

The three of us ate and we still had a lot leftover! Easily could feed 4 people with what we ordered! Look at the box we took home!

Hole in the wall and family owned! We didn’t like the chicken minute cake noodle we ordered unfortunately. It was too greasy and fried. However, the service was super friendly and we talked to the owner and it’s a family community favorite!

Great spot for authentic Chinese cuisine and culture. Don’t miss the minute chicken or the ginger garlic noodles. Wonton soup was also a hit with our 10-year old son.
