I have ordered many catered dinners from Lebtav Silver Spring for years! Bal consistently demonstrates outstanding customer service. Food is always delicious. I have never been disappointed by their shawarma, grapes leaves, fatayer. There are few places that can offer meals to diverse guests with food restrictions (halal, vegetarian, no seafood, etc) with such wonderful service, quality, and value.

This place is Lebanese comfort food. I always have the Chicken Shwarma. It is awesome. They offer free tahina, whipped garlic and hot sauce. It adds great flavor. Their hummus is extraordinary. The people working their are patient and accommodating.

I was excited to try LebTav but, in the end, was left feeling that it won’t be worth returning. That said, I am vegetarian so my choices are limited, and the one I had, the falafel sandwich, was probably the least exciting falafel sandwich I’ve ever had–and I’ve had the pleasure of eating many. It was filled with so much raw, undressed parsley I couldn’t taste anything else. The falafel balls themselves didn’t taste like much. I did very much enjoy their baba ghanoush, and the yogurt salad wasn’t bad either–but the grape leaves had been sitting/soaking too long. Service was efficient though not especially welcoming or friendly. There wasn’t a soul in the place when I visited…

I’ve had a decent meal at this establishment before, but ordered take out yesterday and was very disappointed. My orders of the lamb and spiced rice “Ouzi Bowl,” and “Beef Shawarma” were awful. The lamb had the consistency of dental floss, dry and flavorless, as if the restaurant used old, low quality meat, overcooked it, neglected to spice it properly, then left it sitting around for a few days. I’ve eaten napkins that tasted better. The beef shawarma was similarly overcooked, dry and bland. The meals were altogether inedible and I’ve tossed most of it into the compost, apart from the hummus, which was actually quite delicious.

Overall things were good here. Some of the flavors were different than back home. 2/4 of us really liked our dishes. It did take a bit of time to get our food, so this wasn’t fast food at all. Place was quiet and it was good quality food.

Leb Taverna has hands down the best falafel sandwich in town! I always get the falafel pita, ask them to add hummus, then add garlic puree and tahini! The food is fresh, and the staff are friendly. They don’t take Apple Pay, so don’t forget your wallet (they take credit cards, of course).

Just had 2 chicken schwarma platters delivered. The food was fresh, but the chicken was way too salty. We could not finish it. They need to be more careful…

Ordered catering-sized platters for a wake – would absolutely recommend. Service with a smile and human touch. V nice.

I ordered a mix shawarma, the chicken was unseasoned, the beef was undercooked and the overall hygiene is concerning. The tray I was given was sticky and the sauces were a bit rancid.

I had never visited Lebanese restaurants before, but after seeing their enticing dishes on Google Maps, I decided to give them a try. The food turned out to be quite good, and the prices were reasonable too.
