Very nice place to grab a few drinks and some appetizers. Food was fine! Got the loaded nachos with chicken and then we got boneless wings to split. Service was extremely fast and our waitress was great. Giving 4 stars for the food – not bad by any means, just good enough. The drinks were great though! Some of the cocktails were strong but I’d definitely go back.

They have excellent food on the 2 occasions we have gone here for lunch during the week. We have tried different things each time and everything has been well cooked and tasty. The service is pretty good though with just waitress for the place, they can get busy. The prices are pretty fair for this day and age. Around 13-14 a plate/person. I would recommend going here for food. The atmosphere is nice, with a fair amount of older people so it is not rowdy at lunch.

Our server was very nice. This place was clean and spacious. My husband ordered Dude Fries which was listed as an appetizer but was a full plate. He said everything tasted great. I had a burger and fries, both were done to
perfection. Nothing better than some good crispy crinkle fries in my book. Everything was reasonably priced. We went a little after lunch. It was worth the short drive.

Lunch at Lebowski’s Grill and Pub in Robins, Iowa was definite win‼️
It was my first time at this well-kept and popular bar/restaurant, and certainly, it won’t be my last.

The occasion was a good friend’s birthday, and we decided to try somewhere new to both of us.
The place was busy but didn’t feel crowded at all, and we were able to find a table immediately.

I noticed right away how well the interior was maintained. Quite often, a bar/restaurant that has been open for several years can get a little beat.
Not so with Lebowski’s, the paint, tables, chairs, and everything else was fresh and squeaky clean, a testament to the commitment and attitude of the owners, managers, and crew.

My companion chose the French Dip, which he reported as delicious (unfortunately, I didn’t manage to sneak a bite). A fairly straightforward rendition of this lunch counter classic, thinly sliced seasoned roast beef and melted Swiss cheese on a toasted hoagie bun served with au jus.

I had a difficult choice, their menu has a lot going for it.
There are a few meal-sized appetizers that caught my eye, most notably the Dude Fries, waffle fries, pulled pork, shredded cheese, onions, and drizzled with sweet and spicy sauce.
I also took a long look at the Craisin Walnut Feta Salad and the Pub Fish Basket before choosing from the sandwich list.

All of the usual suspects were present, the aforementioned French Dip, as well as a BLT, Reuben, Club, a chicken or steak Philly, and of course that most Midwestern sammie, the Breaded Pork Tenderloin.
There were a few more, and all of them seemed like solid choices, but one caught my eye on this day.

The Bacon Jack Chicken, grilled or breaded chicken, grilled jalapeños, thick cut bacon, and pepperjack cheese.
The roll/bun was fairly standard, fresh and soft, but not possessed of any particular character.
The breaded chicken was quite good, not as thin as a fritter but having the same crispy texture and flavorful taste.
As many of my readers know, I love the piquant, bright flavor of the jalapeño, and this sandwich was loaded with them, to my delight.
I was also delighted by the perfectly crisped bacon and the generous slice of melted cheese, which nearly enrobed the chicken.
The flavor was exactly what I was looking for, and I actually managed, through an impressive exercise of will, to slow down and savor the scrumptious, palate-filling flavors of the sammie.
The bacon, peppers, and cheese all worked well together with the breaded chicken, although should I have this sandwich again, I would try it with the chicken grilled, simply to see how the flavor profile is changed with the removal of the fried component.

We both choose crinkle-cut French fries as our side, with fresh veggies, coleslaw, and cottage cheese, also on offer. Or for an upcharge, waffle fries, onion rings, side salad, or pub chips.

The service was a treat equal to the food. Our server, the charming Missy Peyton Walton , was covering half of the restaurant, yet displaying that effortless, friendly hustle that marks the very best waitstaff. She always had a moment or two to talk about the restaurant or to drop a cheery quip about how the day was going.

I will no doubt be returning. After all, the Dude Fries abide…

First time in, passing by for lunch. Very nice clean dining area with plenty of seating options. Our server was very attentive and always had a smile. We had a burger, strips and chicken wrap with onion rings. Everything was great, all better than expected. It really needs a nice rug to tie the room together ❤️

Food was pretty good. It took a long time for service and to get our food. They were busy and I think it filled quickly that they got behind. It was decent and they did their best but if there’s a long wait, I wouldn’t go back.

Typical bar food, not good, not bad. Service was excellent and the place is pretty big so tables are well spaced. I had the fish and creamy coleslaw. Fish was maybe a little dry or overcooked, coleslaw was very good. Hubs had a wrap. He did not like it, said something tasted off. I tried it and I think the bacon was both slightly burnt and too thick making the taste and texture unpleasant in the wrap. Onion rings were yummy.

Excellent food. We went there for lunch on a Tuesday at noon. There were only a few people there, but it still took awhile to get our food (about a half hour) -the food was exceptional though! I’d recommend calling in your order before going there if you have a limited time for lunch. I posted photos of our sandwiches: a Philly & the Cowboy burger. The only thing that annoyed us a little, was our waitress would stop briefly and disappear. It wasn’t busy yet she was no where to be found. – definitely not a reason to avoid this place, just a point I wanted to make
Update: we went there on a Friday at about 6pm. Our food got to us in about 10 minutes and the waitress was super nice. (Shout out to Ashley!) We both ordered the “cowboy” burger and it was very good. This place is a gem located in Robins Iowa
