Delicious Pumpkin Spice martinis!
We stopped for lunch. I ordered the French dip sandwich. The roast beef was super tender and the portion was just right. Potato salad was delicious as well. Beautiful outdoor seating and soft live music.

The hostess (I think owner?) was very gracious and welcoming. The problem was the cost/value ratio of the food! The menu items seemed lovely if a little pricey – to be expected in a small tourist town.
I ordered the chicken avocado “melt” @ $20 and my husband ordered the turkey pesto melt @$21. The description of my sandwich said “spicy mustard”. I assumed a Dijon or other hearty mustard. What I got was French’s yellow mustard, a small amount of avocado, toasted bread and partially melted cheese. My husband’s sandwich was equally…meh. Neither would qualify as a good deli sandwich – let alone some kind of gourmet sandwiches worth a total of $41 (plus $12 for one beer). NO sandwich that has yellow runny mustard on it should cost anywhere near $20.
I almost never write reviews but I walked away feeling so ripped off/taken advantage of.
Yes, Idyllwild is a small tourist town and higher prices are expected….but so is value and quality and both were sadly lacking.

Super cute place.. we stopped by because it smelled like cinnamon rolls. We ordered 2 coffee, 2 hot chocolate and 5 cinnamon rolls to go.
The charge… $8 per drink and $10 per cinnamon roll. I was expecting beautiful cinnamon rolls.. instead received cold 2×2 squares that looked and tasted store bought. I don’t mind paying for something when it’s worth it.. but this time I felt taken advantage of… Will definitely not return and will not recommend.

We stopped in on a busy Memorial Day weekend. Leanna was our server and enjoyed her sharing the story of the place. She made the visit great.

I enjoyed a wine flight and others had stouts. They complimented the stout. We ordered charcuterie and the flat bread with ham. One star down that the flat bread wasn’t hot, but that didn’t stop us from eating it. The cheese and meats were fine. The date wrapped in bacon was the best.

The live music was as great and we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for a lovely time.

Drive up from Palm Springs to Idyllwild for a day trip. I stopped in here while on the Palms to Pines seven drive.

There was live music and what looked like a good selection of wine for those who imbibe.

I had a delicious Stout and started with a smoked salmon appetizer and high consisted of some deliciously soft bread, cream cheese, capers, sliced tomatoes and onions.

I got the BLT sandwich which was a three layer half sandwich with plenty of thin cut bacon, tomatoes, lettuce and Mayo. It also included a portion of potato salad and a slice of honeydew melon.

Please t surprise to see somewhat rational portions. I wish more places limited the good offers to these sizes.

We had a pleasant lunch at this open air bistro. The live music was nice and there plenty of umbrellas on the patioo. The food was good but somewhat uneven both in presentation and portion size. With our sandwiches we got a tiny, tiny scoop of potato salad and one thin slice of watermelon. The homemade bread was delicious and the fresh apple pie slice was very generous.

The food was excellent. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates, La Bistro flatbread, and an Italian sandwich. The mulled wine and cider were also delicious. The service was great, and the live entertainment was fun. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but I do expect that with mountain towns since they’re more isolated. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

The owner seemed nice but a little pushy, I’ve never spent $140 at a restaurant before and left hungrier than I came in… The $10 beer was good though. I felt robbed to be honest and now we’re driving to McDonald’s

Nice ambiance to have lunch with the musician singing, however the food is way overpriced for the portion size that you get. Spent $20 for one sandwich and $18 for one sangria. The sandwich and “side” of potato salad looked like a kids meal portion. Don’t mind paying $20 for a meal but the portion should match what you pay. Skip this place, unless you want to overpay and leave still feeling hungry.

Updating my review as I sit outside staring at the patio. First nowhere does it say I have to order food to get a drink… Ok sure I’ll bite but then to be upset with me because I didn’t order a full dinner? The service was atrocious. The owner scowls at you if she doesn’t like your answers. Frankly Leanna, this isn’t the business for you if you can’t be respectful.

On top of it all, the worst part of it? Being lied to. I wanted to buy a bottle and you told me you were out. Yet I went inside and took pictures of the bottles I asked for. You just didn’t want us to stay or something. Seriously, it’s not like it was bursting at the seams. I still count 5 empty tables outside.

Next time treat your customers with respect instead of looking down on them.

A wine shop with a great beer selection. I can always find a handful of beers I’ve never had. Staff is nice and generally knowledgeable. Food is about what you’d expect for a wine bar. Large variety of wine also.
