I’m so glad we ate at Leaf while in town! Everything we tried was amazing. The Executive Chef Lauren definitely has talent and loves what she does – and it shows in the food. We tried a lot of things on the menu and liked each dish. But our absolute favorites were the kimchi sweet potato fries (this was a crowd favorite dish and we’re still dreaming about it), ginger chili potstickers (so good!), and the hot fudge cake with ice cream for dessert (melt in your mouth warm chocolate cake with ice cream, it was 10 out of 10).

We also enjoyed the butternut penne, everything crunch salad, and butternut squash arancini which were all delicious.

Also, the bread deserves its own shout out – very soft and warm, and still rich in flavor. Easily the best bread I’ve had in a long time.

Service was great with a friendly and attentive staff. Would definitely recommend stopping here to anyone!!

Just wanted to shout out the service here–cocktails and salad were phenomenal and I loved my tofu and ube dish. The lion’s mane mushroom unfortunately wasn’t to my girlfriend’s liking.

HOWEVER, the staff were extremely friendly and helped us find a replacement option, and comped her original entree.

The staff and service are phenomenal, and the Tuscan Garden entree the staff replaced her entree with was DELICIOUS.

Great food, great cocktails, and great service.

Definitely coming back. The food was wonderful!
I had the smoked carrot lox. Smoked carrots, chive cream cheese with capers and onions on incredible sourdough bread. I didnt know carrots could be smoked and they were phenomenal.
My main course was the egg and vegan sausage scramble on top of some sort of sauce that was divine.
My waitress was attentive, food was excellent, atmospher was very pleasant and the price was very good for how much food I was served.
Im recommending to friends and will be coming back. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I felt the menu was sparse.

Leaf is a charming, pure vegetarian restaurant in Boulder that focuses on fresh ingredients and a diverse menu. It is a small, quaint cafe with a comfy and inviting vibe, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal.

We started with the Wild Mushroom Arancini, which had a wonderfully creamy texture, with deep, earthy flavors from the mushrooms, making for a rich and satisfying bite.
The Yaki Onigiri, however, didn’t quite hit the mark. The Kale Salad with Harissa Tofu was a refreshing dish, offering a nice balance of textures and flavors. The tofu had a good spice level from the harissa, and the kale provided a hearty, nutritious base.

Moving on to the mains, the Thai Green Curry was well-balanced in flavor, with a creamy, fragrant broth. However, the Spaghetti that came with it, felt a bit dry.The Orange Cauliflower was not so good, the flavors were all over the place, with the rice and base being overly salty.

On the bright side, the drinks were enjoyable, and the meal ended on a high note with the Carrot Cake. The dessert was moist, spiced just right, and topped with a luscious frosting.

Leaf is a solid spot, but some dishes did feel underwhelming. The portion sizes are generous, making it a good value overall. If you are looking for a creative vegetarian meal with a lovely vibe, it’s worth a visit.

Amazing vegetarian good!! We went on a day they were starting new menu items and they were incredible.
Fresh ingredients and cool, unique, delicious plates. The cauliflower tacos were some of the best tacos i’ve had (I don’t even like cauliflower!)
The ambiance is lovely and the staff were very friendly.
Would definitely go again when in Boulder!

The concept of an entirely-vegan restaurant sounded like a dream when we found this place online as soon as we landed in Colorado. This is the best restaurant I have been to, vegan or not.

Ambiance is incredibly aesthetic yet not overdone. Service was incredibly fast and kind, and they took the time to explain the dishes. No food was left on the table when we were done. 100% recommend.

Outstanding food and service. Stopped in after the Boulder Film Festival. We took advantage of the happy hour options and ordered the Mushroom Calamari, Cauliflower Tacos, Mushroom burger slider, Crabcake Slider, and Kale salad. All were delicious. Food timing was well spaced and food was fresh. Outstanding flavor. Loved all of it! We then shared the Jamaican Jerk Tempeh. The presentation was lovely and the coconut sauce was more than I expected. Nice spice and excellent flavor combination. Finished with the Mezcal chocolate cake. Wow! Superb. Nice cake, not too dense, very moist, and the coconut cream was the perfect pairing. We left with full bellies and would definitely come back. Excellent service by Elizabeth. She was very friendly and attentive. Outstanding dinner experience!

Took my husband for his birthday, he’s plant based and I’m not. Went based off the reviews and met beyond our explanations. Actually we felt under dressed for the level of service we got. You can’t tell you are eating vegan dishes. I did get a salad but tried the piece of the mushroom steak and couldn’t tell. My husband loved all the dishes he tried and wanted to try more. We tried the musse and it was delicious. Out waitress was wonderful. Could tell she had a few bad tables and tried to do everything in her power to give a great experience. Parking is kinda hard to find on the weekend especially after 7pm when it’s free. Definitely would go back. Do recommend reservations on the weekends. The sigh of relief in the hostess when I told her I had a reservation was very telling when they were extremely busy.

Get ready to try to best vegetarian restaurant on Pearl Street! We stopped on a busy Friday night without reservations and we’re seated immediately. Asking the hostess her recommendations, she knew what was great! We went with her suggestions. The vegan bread was a great start and the apps were fantastic! Leaf plate was popping with flavor! Pad Thai was amazing! Loved the Thai Green Chili was my favorite!

The food was good, but they didn’t have what we wanted on 2 different occasions (and we only went twice) the Jamaican jerk Tempeh was a bit much in flavor, but not in amount. Definitely left hungry. The Tuscan garden I didn’t get a pic of but that was probably my favorite.
