Wanted to try a new venue, and landed on Le Voltaire. We went early on a weekday, so it was slow. And while the ambiance was a bit lackluster, the service was amazing right off the bat. The entire meal, we were checked on and well taken care of!
We ordered a handful of dishes, including the Lamb Shank, Veal Cheek, salad, soup and dessert. The entrees, while heavy, were tasty and decadent, and I would highly recommend both. The French Onion Soup was rich and beefy, though a could use some herbs (but purely a personal preference); the perfect dish for a cold winter day. The salad was fine and the creme brulee was nice.
Overall, its a nice stop for the lamb or veal, and a glass of wine!!

had the pleasure of dining at Le Voltaire in Omaha with friends and it was a fantastic experience! I ordered the blackened halibut with mango salsa and Parmesan risotto, and everything was cooked perfectly — flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great spot to enjoy a night out with friends.

A special shoutout to Benji, our server, who was attentive, friendly, and made sure our experience was seamless from start to finish. I’ll definitely be coming back for more — highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for excellent seafood and a welcoming dining experience.

I’ve never had French food. Coming from out of town and since we’re not that “sophisticated” in my city, I had to have French food. Escargo. Foie Gras. Shrimp. All was very delicious. Heavy with butter just like French food is supposed to be but very good. I felt a little guilty eating Foie Gras but the feeling quickly subsided after tasting how delicious it was. Pardon my… non French, I’m not able to type out in French what I had for dinner. But in English, its Veal cheeks in some type of sauce with whipped potatoes and veggies. Needles to say, the sauce was a white wine cream sauce. The restaurant is cozy. Romantic. Service is great. Everyone seemed happy to be there.

We had an absolutely incredible experience at Le Voltaire, and a huge part of that was thanks to our waiter, Benji.

From the moment we sat down, Benji made us feel genuinely welcome and taken care of. His knowledge of the menu was impressive he explained dishes beautifully, made thoughtful recommendations, and helped us choose items we might not have tried otherwise (and we’re so glad we did!). Every course felt intentional and perfectly timed.

What really stood out was his balance of professionalism and personality. Benji was attentive without hovering, engaging without being overbearing, and had a warmth that elevated the entire evening. You can tell he truly cares about the guest experience and takes pride in what he does.

Dining at Le Voltaire already feels special, but Benji turned it into a memorable night. If you’re lucky enough to have him as your server, you’re in for a fantastic experience.

We’ll definitely be back and we’ll be asking for Benji.

We did the chef’s tasting menu. Everything was delicious, with the crab cake and salmon being stand outs as especially tasty. The wine pairings went well with the dishes. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. This was our first time there but we’ll definitely be back.

My wife and I came down to Omaha from Sioux City, IA, for a date afternoon/evening a couple weekends ago. I made a reservation here for dinner, which I strongly recommend. Every detail from the bread and butter to the house red wine to the appetizer to the main courses to the dessert was executed exceptionally well. The restaurant employees were kind, fun to interact with, and knowledgeable. The dining environment was very relaxing and romantic, too. It was one of the most delicious meals and best dining experiences we’ve ever had, and we left feeling full and euphoric. We are very excited to dine here again soon!

Decided to go here instead of the crowded bar/grill next door. I was appreciative at first but the meals were EXCELLENT! I even saw the owner bring out a lamb burger. I asked him about it but told him I don’t care much for lamb though. He said with the caramelized onions, Jam on a brioche bun it’s heaven… When I said I’d pass he brought me one anyway! And said “let me try to change your mind.” OMG!!! It was absolutely DEVINE!!
We had such a nice waitress, great talk with the owner and over all great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Le Voltaire is always terrific. The flavors are so thoughtful. The classic dishes are done beautifully and the specials are inventive and unique. The service is also top notch. You feel taken care of while dining there. The staff are warm and knowledgeable about what they are serving. They make it a great spot for special occasions, celebrations, but even make an ordinary date night feel special. In the winter we recommend the beef bourguignon and French onion soup. We recently went and their summer menu is amazing as well, they have all those classics but also great fresh summer flavors. We had a salmon with cucumber salad and the lamb with a blueberry and chimichurri. Everything was incredible!

We started out with the Gratin De Fruits De Mer, which was warm and delicious. I had the duck confit and my spouse had Surlonge D’agneau, lamb sirloin. Duck can be tough, but this duck was so tender – the sign of a good chef! My spouse got a very generous portion of lamb, which was also cooked to perfection. After eating all that, plus the salad that was included with our meal, we were too full to try a dessert. Maybe next time! The server was friendly and attentive, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We’ll be back.
