Excellent in person service and delicious pastries and bread. If I need an advance order I would call one in to make sure the bakery can accommodate as online order confirmation doesn’t necessarily mean order will be ready when you select your date and time I highly recommend the almond pear cake, bread, and savory puff pastries. Prices very reasonable, most items between $3-4. Have paid much more for French bakery items of this quality at other bakeries…this place is a great find! *updated to say BEST bread in Columbus, having tried many bakeries including at North Market!

This French bakery is as close as you can get to Paris without leaving Ohio! The owner kept the place open on Christmas day at the request of some customers, and I was lucky enough to visit before heading home.

As soon as I entered I was greeted by the owner and welcomed inside. The selection was limited due to the impromptu holiday hours but was hardly lacking in delicious choices. I left with far more than I intended to buy, especially at the very reasonable prices on everything.

After answering my questions and packing away everything I requested the owner got me one of the best peach teas I’ve ever had in a to-go cup and I was off to surprise my family with unexpected Christmas desserts.

My only complaint is I wish the bakery were closer to home so I could frequent it more often. Thanks and we’ll see you again soon!

As a French American I have to say this place is a hidden Gem, I’m so happy it’s here! I have tried all the French restaurants bistros cafes and bakeries Columbus has to offer and None compare to the authentic taste Le Vieux Lyon recreates. I tried it for the first time Sunday Morning and was so impressed they have found a lifelong customer in me. The Woman working was so incredibly nice and after hearing about my family being born in France she even gave me a free item. Amazing customer service and amazing food and imported retail goodies

A little slice of France… ah, the wonderful smells! Came a bit too late on a Sunday and they were quite wiped out but I gathered up some of the last of the goodies and got my fix 🙂 Listening to the beautiful exchanges between shop owner and customers in French and of course the delicious treats were well worth the trip. C’est magnifique!!

How is this French bakery not full with customers? I’ve only had eclair, choux-a-la-creme (cream puff) and two of their danishes so far but all of them were delicious. I’ll have to go back and get more pastries.

First time here and it was an absolute delight. I saw a post about the place so I had to check it out and I was not disappointed. They have online ordering which is great, but make sure you read like I didn’t that they sometimes need 2 days notice to make some of the things. I got a apple tart, croissant, macrons, and an almond tart. All of them were fantastic and well worth the drive for me. I will for sure be going back to try the rest or the menu!

But seriously, this bakery is the best. We normally go to get some assorted macarons and always end up getting extra random other things like eclairs, cannolis, pies, etc. They also do orders in advance if you want something in particular, but I enjoy just going in and picking from what they have.

They are also competitively priced for a bakery of this quality (or perhaps undercharging because they are that good).

Went to Le Vieux for the first time today and I am so happy that I found this gem! We got plain croissants, lemon tea, and caramel tea. The croissants were so delicious and fresh! Their teas are imported from France and were also delightful, especially the lemon tea! There was plenty of seating. The family who owns the bakery is extremely kind and took the time to explain the different menu items to us!

We were there at around ~11am on a Saturday. Many of their items appeared to be sold out already, since the selection was a bit smaller than I had expected based on other reviewers’ Google photos. I think this goes to show how much people love the food here! Next time, I will try to come a little earlier in the day!

I highly recommend this business and would definitely make the drive to Reynoldsburg to try more of their pastries and teas! ☺️

Someone from my church told me about this place last Sunday and I rushed there . I was not disappointed at all. I spent close to $100 on desert as I wanted to have enough for breakfast during the week. This place is a MUST SEE. The owner is very welcoming and she is nice with kids. She even gave my boys some free goodies . Thank you and we will be visiting every weekend for sure. Merci beaucoup (une ivoirienne que tu reconnaîtras par ce message ).
