We came here 2 times during our holidays and we absolutely loved it. Normally I don’t do the same restaurant twice because it’s nice to explore but this was really good. The first time I was by myself and the second time I took my son who equally loved it. We ordered the moules both times and the volume of moules we got was just incredible and they were super delicious and fresh served with frites and bread. They were an excellent price. The views from here are super pretty. Staff here are very nice as well.

I just found the receipt of the restaurant six months after our visit at Le Verre Luisant. I remember it was a very stressful evening for the waiters, but they served us with excellence. The food was delicious and the ambient was amazing. Live-music around us and summer temperatures at the harbour with two bottles of red wine and a youth national rowing team that heated the atmosphere.

Stopped off for lunch in La Rochelle port. All the bars and restaurants were busy so it was hard to choose. But my eldest wanted pizza so we chose here. My husband and I both had mussels with a carafe of wine. They were really good and there were loads – neither of us managed to finish them! Huge pizza. Fast and efficient service. Lovely view over the port.

The service was super! The only thing I would change is the food. The mussels were alright (lacking a bit for sauce). The French fries were apparently home made but they looked very flask, not crunchy at all. I would recommend this place for a drink only.

I don’t write restaurant reviews too often but this time I think I had to. First thing, I was looking for seafood and sure, there was seafood but not what I expected though; too little and not enough variety. I opted for the fish and chips. Disappointing; the piece of fish was very small, it looked like hake and it was a thick chunk. It tasted fine and was the best thing on the plate. The salad, a few leaves and a couple of small tomatoes, was gritty. All washed down with a large beer. The waitress was unsmiling and appeared not to want to be there. And the bill in my view was a ridiculous price for what I recieved. Didn’t receive the tap water I asked for though the bread was good and fresh.

A pleasant place in a nice area by the marina. Friendly and helpful staff. We had excellent meals of gambas tagliatelle and Tuna, beautifully presented and tasty.
