Oprah Winfrey praised Le Tub’s burger after GQ Magazine declared it “America’s Best Burger.” A former Sunoco gas station on the intracoastal, the gardens and structure are composed of antique clawfoot bathtubs, driftwood, shells and objects that washed ashore from the beach. Enjoy the Old Florida dockside dining, cold beers, great food and sunsets over the bay. The burgers are the same recipe as when Le Tub opened in 1975. Called “The Original” it’s 13 ozs chargrilled and served on a Kaiser Roll with onion, tomato and lettuce. You can also get lots of other food like salads, raw bar offerings, hot dogs, salads, seafood, ribs, crab legs, and a NY strip steak. If you love burgers this is the place America and Oprah loves.

The service was especially appreciated today because we tasted the mocktail and we weren’t 100% sure that it was a virgin
The server assured us that she had seen it being made and we 100% believed her, and were not worried about it after that…, but the bartender wanted me to be extra certain. So he made me a fresh one and came over himself to assure me that it was booze-free. I appreciated that!
Our food was excellent! Extremely fresh and delicious. We had a mahi sandwich and the Old Bay steamed shrimp— and it was all fantastic.
And the atmosphere is delightful- outdoors, casual, clean, fun, sunny unless you want shady. It’s pretty and there’s nothing precious about it and we all had a great time.
However, the wait time was extremely long. We waited about 1 hour and 10 minutes just to get our burgers. Our server mentioned that they only have one grill, which explains the delay, but the wait was honestly a bit ridiculous.
Overall, the food was great, but they should really consider upgrading and adding more grills to handle the crowd, especially on busy weekends. With faster service, this place would easily be 5 stars!
The views are just as incredible as the food, with beautiful waterfront scenery that makes you want to sit back, relax, and stay awhile. Add in the fun, quirky, one-of-a-kind atmosphere, and you’ve got an unforgettable experience that feels so uniquely Florida.
Great burger, great vibes, great views — Le Tub is a must-visit every time we’re in Hollywood Beach! ☀️
Visited Le Tub while in town for a work conference, drawn in by its long-standing reputation—both locally and nationally—for its hamburgers. Overall, it was a fun, memorable evening that delivered exactly what you hope for from an iconic neighborhood spot.
First, the ambiance really stands out. Even on a very windy night, the restaurant felt cozy and inviting. The plastic wind screens around the open-air seating do a great job of protecting diners from the breeze coming off the channel while still letting you enjoy the fresh air. It’s casual, quirky, and unmistakably local.
The service was the highlight of the night. Our servers were attentive, friendly, and genuinely engaged, offering recommendations and keeping everything moving smoothly.
We ordered a mix of food and drinks: chips and queso, steamed shrimp, a Swiss cheeseburger, a blackened mahi mahi sandwich, and a fun ski of shots along with cocktails like the Cadillac margarita and piña colada. The drinks were solid, and the shot ski was a memorable, lighthearted touch that really added to the experience.
The food was good, solid bar fare—good but not great. The steamed shrimp, heavily recommended by our server, arrived hot and well-seasoned with Old Bay, served with melted butter for dipping—definitely a win. The chips and queso were satisfying and came with a nice salsa on the side. The mahi mahi sandwich was another standout recommendation: a nicely sized, thick fillet, well seasoned, with a flavorful sauce on a good bun.
And the famous burger? Thick, cooked perfectly, and very good. Is it the best burger I’ve ever had? Probably not—but it absolutely lives up to being a very good burger in a classic setting.
Overall, Le Tub is a great choice if you’re in town on business and looking for a casual meal that feels unique, authentic, and unmistakably local. Come for the character and service, enjoy the food and drinks, and you’ll leave with a memorable experience.
