Lunch moment in Le Tripot.

We ordered one menu (on lunch time, ~19€) and salad portion (13,5€). Lunch menu contained starter, main course and dessert. I selected marinated clams, omelette (ham and cheese) and ice cream.

Clams portion for a starter was very nice and tasty. Omelette was also simple and very good. And of course ice cream was as it always is, very good.

Only salad was a little bit odd, as there was big and weirdly creamy like of mozzarella in the middle that tasted and felt weird in the mouth. Still the portion was very big so that was a very positive thing.

We also had one bottle of local cider (0,75l 14€) that was pretty high cost.

Customer service was very friendly and they have also menu written in English too.

Lunch menu was very nice, so I would recommend that for everyone!

Cozy restaurant on the first floor. A good deal if you take the lunch set menu for 19,50 euros (starters, main dish and dessert), the mussels as starters were a huge plate, they were very generous. The ham and cheese galette was good, the crêpes au beurre was fine. Overall good experience.

Service was friendly, they brang us water for our dog and the cashier was also very friendly even it was quite crowded.
We ordered the egg omlette with ham and cheese. This was okay. It could have been more cooked. The fries did not taste good to us because they were not crispy. The salad was fresh, with a moustard dressing I guess.
Unfortunately the crèpe with chocolate and caramel was in our opinion really not tasty. The sauce was very special.

Such a great hole in the wall for dining in – looks unassuming but lots of seating upstairs. Family owned with wonderful service and delicious food. We had mussels, pate and a galette and it was all amazing, one of the best meals we’ve had in France. The staff were lovely, showing us a trick to eating our mussels.

I wish I could’ve given it a higher review because my omelette was excellent, one of the best I’ve had, but our server must’ve been in a bad mood or something. Just not a great reception and seemed impatient with us. May have been because of our language barrier, but it was possibly the most uncomfortable service experience in France for us as tourists. Not rude to our faces, they just seemed put out in general. Hopefully others have had better experiences because the food was worth a stop for a quick lunch on the island.

Food portion was big. Fries were very good. Service was quick but to the point. Dog friendly. Toilet was clear but small.

This is a very good place, I highly recommend you get a few orders of Cider as a drink then get a Sausage with Galtete and for desert a Crape and an Espresso! Then enjoy the view out of the window.

Feel too tired after spend 4hour to get here, hope to enjoy a good meal. The staff recommended me a lamb chop(which I think was 18euro but actually 31), the meat is the hardest thing I’ve ever cut and chewed. My friend ordered beef steaks(just imagine burgers patties), also tasteless. Don’t recommend to anyone.

I’d say what you pay for here is fair for what you get when compared to many other overpriced restaurants and stalls in Mont Saint-Michel. If you really do need something to eat, then I’d recommend Le Tripot – but don’t expect anything too grand or elegant. The service was decent but unfortunately one of our plates didn’t come out the best, but those kind of mistakes is understandable I guess.
