We had a wonderful experience here. We thought the food was excellent and the service prompt, efficient, and friendly. Some reviewers seem to forget that we are in a busy train station where some people have to eat quickly, while others can linger. We were lingerers, and we made sure our servers knew that from the beginning. With that mind, we had a wonderful meal that was presented beautifully and never felt either rushed or that the food was lacking in any way. Make sure the staff is aware of your expectations and you’ll have a magnificent meal. Try to arrive early for lunch so it feels a little less crowded.

A beautiful experience at Le Train Bleu.

I visited with friends while in Paris for a treat.

A sublime restuarant decorated exquisitely in a La Belle Epoque style. Full of frescos and gold it really is a sight to be hold, The wait staff are dressed beautifully and we’re looked after superbly.

The food we ordered was perfectly portioned and tasted excellent. We ate the froi gras which was buttery and soft, the beef which was cooked superbly too your liking and finished with the cheese trolley which was exceptional.

We all left feeling replete and happy.

The setting is undeniably beautiful and distinctive, just as many other reviewers have noted. Our servers were warm, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the evening. We were also pleasantly surprised by the wine list, which featured excellent Pommerol and Margaux selections not often found on Parisian menus.
Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the ambiance. The dishes were average at best and felt out of step with the restaurant’s elegant décor. My bœuf was chewy, and the potato galette was soggy. The pigeon mousse and foie gras lacked flavor and were served far too cold. The floating island, however, was delightful.
Overall, the quality of the food did not justify the steep prices. It’s a stunning restaurant if you’re looking to impress a date or business guests, but it’s not the right choice for those who truly value well-executed cuisine.

We went for Christmas dinner and it was delightful. Christophe made sure our wine never ran out and was super attentive. We felt all the food was worth every penny spent. They also have a good wine list. I’d recommend starting with the caviar and a glass of champagne. The sea bass we had was something we will be talking about for years to come – absolutely delicious.

An elevated restaurant that you should visit at least once when you are in Paris!

It was our fifth visit to Paris, and yet, it was our first time in Le Train Bleu. The restaurant is situated on the second floor of Gare de Lyon, Paris’s central train station. We were here on our last day in Paris before we head home tonight.

My husband ordered scallops and seabeam tartare for an appetizer, and grilled lamb legs for the main course. I ordered grilled octopus as an appetizer and skate wing as my main course. The Neapolitan rum baba was his dessert, and I had the fruit soufflé, which made me the happiest person on the planet.

What I loved about the restaurant was that the staff were attentive and friendly. I could tell that they tried their best to make us happy and satisfied.

A reservation is required to be seated in the perfectly decorated carriage-like room. I am glad I did it last October. Now, with our tummies full and minds rejuvenated, we are heading home!

What a memorable and great experience finally try this famous restaurant in Paris. Great service and atmosphere to dine in, I really enjoyed the food! Beef tartare, the chicken dish are fantastic! The dessert, however, not my taste I think mainly I just picked the wrong one.

Marvin was exceptional! Our host for the evening went above and beyond. They served nearly every dish table side. The food is amazing and the atmosphere surrounding you is something we are unable to describe. You just have to come see it for yourself. Something from a different time that just transports you! Loved our experience at La Train Bleu. Come hungry!

A sincerely over the top French dinner experience with all the decor, smells, and tastes one would expect from a premium French restaurant. The service was great. The food was incredible. And, the ambiance was off the charts. Well done… This restaurant is one of the main reasons it’s always a good time to dine in France!

If you are visiting Paris Dining at Le Train Bleu feels less like a meal and more like stepping into a gilded chapter of Parisian history. Tucked inside the Gare de Lyon, the restaurant unfolds like a Belle Époque dream: soaring ceilings, mythological murals, burnished chandeliers, and an air of cultivated grandeur that instantly slows time.

The cuisine honors classical French gastronomy with confidence and restraint. Dishes are rooted in tradition—rich sauces, impeccable technique, and luxurious ingredients—yet never feel outdated. The cooking is deliberate and polished, allowing flavors to speak clearly without unnecessary reinvention. This is French cuisine as it was meant to be experienced: elegant, generous, and unapologetically refined.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the Suprême de volaille fermière façon « Cordon bleu », Le Train Bleu for a drink, and Pressé de pommes for dessert. The food, drink, and dessert did not disappoint. All were very well balanced in flavor. The presentation for each was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant.
