In Las Vegas for the week, we saw the rave reviews and decided to try it. I love Thai food and it’s a new experience for my husband. We both loved it so much we’re going back for a second time before we leave the area. My husband really enjoys fried rice and said the short rib fried rice was the BEST he’s had ever (and he gets it many places we visit)! I had the 3 curry and it was delicious! We also enjoyed the pork belly bacon, which was a thicker version of bacon than we expected but still very good and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The iced Thai tea was also tasty and refreshing.

We recently visited Le Thai downtown Las Vegas and it was absolutely phenomenal. It’s some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. The service is great, the place is very clean and I loved the ambience. I absolutely loved the Pad Thai, and their short rib fried rice is a must-try! Pair with some Sake and good company for a phenomenal meal!!

When we talk about finding little gems in big cities, Le Tai is absolutely in that category! Manny our bartender and server was so knowledgeable and willing to make recommendations, which were spot on! Spicy Tom Kai, crispy rolls, rice with steak and an egg were so delicious. The best recommendation was the steak bites on a stick. Perfect char on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. Solid price point – HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have been to a lot of Thai restaurants in Las Vegas and this is by far the best there is. There is absolutely no comparison with any of the other Thai restaurants in town. Dan Coughlin is a culinary genius and he staffs the most kind and attentive staff that there are in this city. Their customer service is above and beyond and the food makes me almost cry every time because it is so good. What’s makes it even better is the fact that the restaurant is steps away from the Fremont Street Experience and yet the prices are beyond reasonable and you get to pay locals prices!!! I have found my place for Thai food! I will never go anywhere else again! Shout out to the amazing bartenders that helped me out tonight! P.s. get the pork belly bacon, tri color curry and the amazing short rib fried rice with the short rib gravy on the side and an egg on top!

The food here is amazing!!! I had the short rib fried rice and yellow chicken curry! Both spice level 3 which was perfect! Although the food is awesome what makes this place stand out to me is the service! My waitress was so attentive and all the employees were so friendly. The host Luis was amazing definitely set the tone for the evening. Nothing worse then when you get a rude host to ruin the evening. Definitely recommend.

Just one block off Fremont Street, Lay Thai proves that escaping the chaos pays off. The second you walk in, you realize this isn’t another overpriced Vegas eatery—it’s an oasis of flavor and value. The wok sear on the garlic fried rice is, GAWD, the best I’ve ever had—smoky, buttery, perfect texture, and just enough spice to keep you hooked. I ordered mine at a level three, which turned out to be the sweet spot for both me and my wife. You could go hotter, sure, but three gives you that balance of burn and flavor that makes Thai food sing.

The crab rangoon? Adorable little handmade bundles of creamy perfection. The spring rolls? Crisp, light, and clean on the palate. And let’s talk about that bartending staff—easily some of the best I’ve ever encountered in Vegas: fast, personable, and genuinely proud of their craft.

In a city that’s forgotten what a fair price and great food look like together, Lay Thai nails both. If you’re tired of inflated menus and tourist traps, step a block away—you’ll find flavor, service, and sanity right here.

Manny was absolutely amazing, best bartender I’ve had in a LONG time. Le Thai is easily the best restaurant I’ve had in Vegas, especially when factoring in quality, quantity, and price! The happy hour is great and the waterfall beef is insanely delicious. Also tried the beef short rib which was insane. I would recommend this place 1000 times.

It was so good, we went back a second time. Got the yellow curry with short rib and it was fantastic as well. Definitely recommend!

Worth the drive from the Strip

Located about 15-20 minutes from the Strip in downtown Las Vegas, this spot may look small from the outside, but there is ample seating inside. There was no wait when we visited, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

We ordered the short rib fried rice, Pad Thai, and green chicken curry. Portion sizes are generous, each dish is sufficient for one average adult, and lighter eaters could easily share. The standout was the short rib fried rice, which is easily one of the best fried rice dishes I have had anywhere in the country.

Prices are very affordable, the ambiance is relaxed with great vibes, and the overall experience exceeded expectations. Definitely worth trying, even if it requires a short drive off the Strip. From 1 to 3 pm they have a lunch menu for ~15$ per person.

It’s just a 5 min walk out of the east end of Fremont Street. We ordered the Honey Garlic Chicken Wings, Awesome Flat Noodle, and the Short Rib Fried Rice. It was all absolutely delicious! The staff was attentive. As a bonus, they had a pop-punk playlist going on in the background. This hole in the wall spot is a great find. Highly recommended!
