Le Taitu is truly a hidden gem, tucked away from the busy tourist spots but absolutely not one you should miss.
This was by far the best meal we had on the island. Everything we ordered was incredibly tasty, and our entire table loved every single dish. Even our little kids, who are usually picky eaters, cleaned their plates, which says a lot!
Do not skip dessert… it was just as delicious as the rest of the meal. The owner was amazing, and you can genuinely tell he pours his heart into this little spot. The atmosphere felt warm, authentic, and so much more enjoyable than the crowded tourist areas nearby.
Prices are extremely reasonable, and we also loved that they accept US dollars. Do yourself a favour and make sure Le Taitu is on your list—you won’t regret it.

This is a hidden gem! Jean and Chef are masters at making everyone happy and satisfied with their delicious, authentic French food. Very affordable prices and so many options, it was difficult to choose. The escargot and chicken with blue cheese sauce were outstanding. We were 6 adults and 3 small children and were treated with much care and patience. Thank you so much for such a lovely experience!

We had dinner here the other night and it was great. We had veal stew and Mahi mahi. Came back today for lunch. I had the Shepard’s pie with cod fish … Boy was that good. My wife had the chef salad it too was just the right size included sliced hard boiled eggs and ham. It’s a fairly small restaurant with only 7 or 8 tables. But the menu has quite a few choices. Highly recommended! Oh … And the chocolate mousse… Fantastic!

Some of the best food on SXM. The snapper and conch stew were fabulous and the goat stew is the best I have had in the Caribbean. Five star on food, ambiance and service. Open Monday to Friday, family owned, reservations recommended.

Calming and quaint. We arrived and we’re taken right to our table. The wait staff were courteous and attending. Food was great and fairly portioned for the price. We had appetizers to dessert and enjoyed our meal

This is a mix of local cuisine and sophisticated dishes that show passion and creativity. The design of the place is special, in the midst of plants and rocks while maintaining a comfortable ventilation. We tried several local dishes and were very satisfied with every one. Give it a try and enjoy!
