We were not welcome it seems. Staff very unfriendly. We were not allowed to sit outside only for hotel guests who were treated like favorites. Food is very expensive and our pasta at home is more nice. Nothing special and very salty
. My wine was 12€ a glas.
Never again. A lesson in client fruendlyness would be good.

Lovely staff who are friendly and helpful. The complimentary Olives they served were the most amazing I’ve ever tasted.
Background music just right to make a great atmosphere.

We had lunch at the outdoor bistro. Seaside view on a very pleasant terrace, good food, and good service (the staff literally runs!)

Not welcomed . Reservation was made through our agency and long planned . The table for 12 was the worse one almost with no sea view . They said they’ve shared with the agency the table . Not true . 2 hours waiting for grilled meat . A non go definitely

Amazing paella. The chef accidentally made more than we ordered, so we took it home too! Great cocktails too.

When we walked past the Hotel Du Rouf Pizzeria looked quite good: The pizzas were expensive but so was everything else in Corsica. The beachside restaurant looked inviting and was almost empty. We spotted an empty table by the beachside and headed for it. Of the 40+ tables, only 3 were occupied, so we didn’t anticipate any problems. No sooner had we entered and headed for the table, however, a jumped up waiter headed us off claiming ‘ze table is reserved’. With no indication that that table (or any other table in the empty restaurant) was actually reserved, we came to the conclusion that it was us that were not welcome instead. Granted, we’d been 10 days on the gruelling GR20 hiking trail and were looking a bit ‘ragged’ but we’re all three impeccably behaved professionals and two of us went to a posh public school, don’t you know! How much more posh and cultured do you need? Needless to say, we weren’t welcome and were ushered in to a corner, well out of public view. French waiters really are appalling with their displaced sense of status at the root of their problems. We would have been model customers: a little demanding maybe but well-behaved, polite and respectful. Thank goodness the restaurant at Camping U Pinarellu campsite came to our rescue. It was a lot nicer and cheaper too.

We had a good time at LaRouf and the ambiance was wonderful. Overall we enjoyed our visit as the staff was very courteous and accomodating. The food was good as well but was not on par with the ambiance of the place.

Food was fine, but the number of wasps made eating impossible, we only got 1/3 through meal before there were 6 wasps around us and we had to leave.

Nice location, great staff and good food. When I see some people complaining about the price, it makes me laugh…
