We had the Boeuf Wellington and the roasted duck as our main courses and we were not disappointed. Every bite melted into my mouth (and that is despite ordering medium well). For the appetizer we ordered the scallops (not pictured) which were cheesy and delicious. They come 4 in a plate by the way. I’m not sure how we made room for dessert, but we managed. My crepes reminded me of home made lemon bars. 10/10 would come back again.

Make sure to reserve prior heading there because it’s a relatively small place and usually busy. They have an exceptional wine menu. The food menu is quite small, but no matter what you select, you will hardly ever be disappointed. I had my birthday dinner here and they were kind enough to offer me a birthday cream brûlée. If you are here, their desserts are mouthwatering.

So, my wife took me out last night 6/19 for Father’s Day dinner. I ordered the Beef Wellington and she had the Mediterranean Seabass. Both dinners were good going down however, on our way home I suddenly got sick and had my wife pull over and there went dinner. On top of me being sick from this meal, I returned home from work and my wife told me she was sick and vomited as well. Service was OK but after a $120 total bill to become ill I am so not coming back.

My husband and I went to the restaurant with the reservation made, it took a long time for someone to appear to seat us at the table. The first table we sat at was scruffy, swaying and we asked to move. The first dish we ordered was the “Paté en Terrine”, as for the taste it was well below expectations and with some bones that bothered me, the size is big for two people. The second dish was the “Escargots au Chablis”, very simple, not too much, just a little taste of garlic and fat, it wasn’t bad, just not too good. The third dish “Brie en Croute” was very tasty, the crust was excellent, we liked it very much. For the main course I ordered the “Beef Wellington” that the puff pastry was ok, , pâté was ok, but the meat tasteless, without salt, but it came at the point I asked for, the ugly side dishes, little, and they weren’t tasty. My husband ordered the “Saumon” as a main course, the salmon was very tasty, with a very well made crust, the side dishes were also disappointing. Finally the “Souffle”, the long awaited dessert, seriously, we didn’t like it, it was too alcoholic to the point that we couldn’t eat it, we hated it. I’m not saying I’d go back to this restaurant and I’m not sure I’d recommend it to anyone either.

Don’t let the outside look scare you, doesn’t look good but it is amazing! We knew we were in a good spot when we noticed a French couple sitting next to us. Brie and mushroom app is amazing, pate good, beef dish was unreal! Can’t remember name. Scallops great too.

We waited 20 minutes for a server to order drinks. We ordered beet salad, scallops and brie for starters to share. Everything was rather bland. The brie had very few mushrooms. The onion soup was a two thumbs up for the group. All of our steaks were over cooked. Waiter offered free drinks to compensate for the mistake. He was really nice. The whole experience was a disappointment. It used to be much better.

It was my fiance’s birthday and he wanted to try something new. We ended up at Le Rendez-vous. The appetizers were fabulous to start the night, and the Veal Medallions were just right. We over heard the Chef plan the menu, and were satisfied to have tried something new!

I really don’t want to do a review on this place but the owner and staff deserve it. This is my absolute favorite restaurant that I dont want the public to know about. Call me selfish but it is the gem of Tucson. I frequent this place. The waitress remembers my drink order even after months go by. Food is unreplicated. Maynard’s is a joke compared to what you get here. The kitchen takes its job seriously. When it gets busy, be patient because they have never skimped on quality. Make sure you get a reservation. I am taking my wife there for her birthday this weekend as I know there is no other place that will mark the occasion better.
