Le Red Tiger is a Must-Try Vietnamese Spot!
If you’re looking for a vibrant, high-quality, and absolutely delicious dining experience in Montreal, Le Red Tiger in Angus is where you need to go. We booked a Saturday table for four about a week in advance and the entire experience, from arrival to last bite, was seamless and fantastic.
First Impressions & Ambiance:
I arrived 15 minutes before the rest of my party, and the staff immediately made me feel welcomed. I was quickly greeted and shown to our table—no awkward waiting around! The décor is gorgeous: modern, clean, and creates a really great, energetic vibe.
Food & Drinks:
We kicked things off with cocktails, and they were all delicious and expertly mixed.
The star of the show is the tapas-style Vietnamese food. This is truly the perfect way to eat here! The quality of the food is excellent, and the portion sizes are ideal for trying a little bit of everything without getting too full on one dish. We shared everything family-style, which made for a really fun, convivial evening.
A Quick Note on Service:
Service was a bit slow at times, but honestly, the evening was very busy, so it was totally understandable. Plus, we weren’t in a rush and enjoyed the relaxed pace. It certainly didn’t detract from our overall fantastic experience!
Highly recommend booking a table and going with a group as it’s a great place to connect over fantastic food.
Tip: Book a little ahead, especially for a weekend night, and be ready to share!

Went here with the family for dinner last week. Loved everything we ordered: the chicken wings were my fave, fresh spring rolls that come with a bowl of pho broth was super comforting, I’d love to come for lunch to try a whole pho with noodles! Also got the Bò kho (beef stew) that comes with baguette and was delicious. The grilled beef lemongrass skewers, chicken and shrimp fried rice and sautéed bok choy were so tasty. For dessert, the flan in Vietnamese coffee sauce was perfection! Our server was friendly and attentive, thank you for your patience! Would love to return here next time we’re in the area!

An absolute favourite !!! I could tell easily my fav restaurant in Montreal. Price is fair, portions are great and service is incredible. The atmosphere is really nice and has a cute little terrace as well. We had the pork ribs, beef banh-mi, papaya salad, white rice with coco, and shrimp chips. Satisfied with every single item! Absolute perfection.

This is a really great Vietnamese restaurant, with a different style than some other traditional ones. You order items off the menu and the price is basically for that item. The menu is meant to order several dishes in order to share and taste as much as possible. Some of the things we ordered include grilled beef brochettes, crêpes, mini Bok Choy, chicken and shrimp friend rice, and more. The service was great, the ambiance is nice. The washroom area I guess was meant to have an original style, but it’s just odd. Overall, great experience.

I love red tiger but last night was disappointing to say the least. The food was not up to standard and honestly I dislike paying for food that felt like leftovers. We eat often at the various locations. So far angus was good and the food was fresh.i did call and spoke with the person in charge and a refund for the meal was to be applied. I have yet to receive anything? We spoke on January 6 2026

I had the privilege of being invited to Le Red Tiger Angus new brunch menu event which has been assembled in collaboration with Arnaud from Passé Composé.
I’m extremely impressed with the calibre of food, considering how many tables they have and their humble kitchen. The dishes were thoughtful, deep, rich, fresh and spectacularly flavorful. The degree of difficulty alone on these dishes is worth a visit. Minus a point because I think the dishes were a little too ambitious given the size of the kitchen.
Great ambiance and staff were lovely as well. The location is a little out of the way, but it’s worth a trip!

The Pho Rolls were amazing, so light and airy and delicious, the dipping sauce was so interesting, it was pho soup, such a great idea to dip the rolls in, we loved it, but the papaya salad was disappointing, lacked any flavor, it was really not good we threw it out 🙁
