I’ve had many things from here before and been very happy BUT to me this was terrible. It was the first time I’d ordered for Easter… if you can’t handle the quality control – you should limit the number of orders you accept. A $38 quiche should not look like this! The filling on one part was a good inch below the crust edge and the other side was almost to the top! Crust broken in many places all around down through the bottom —

Le Quartier is one of those places where five stars is not enough. This is one of the best spots in the Midwest, let alone Nebraska, to get authentic French patisserie. The pain au chocolat sends me over the moon with every bite. The delectable crunch, the buttery sweetness of the pastry, the soft bitterness of the dark chocolate – to die for. Every BLT I’ve made with their take-home sourdough? To die for. The baguettes? Perfect. The breakfast sandwiches do not get enough hype for as spectacular as they are. They’ve added gelato to the menu, and all I can say is I’ve got to start exercising more.

I loved the breakfast and everything is very good, but the place is always uncared for, lots of flies and dirty tables.

I’ve always loved picking up a loaf at the local farmer’s market but recently I’ve been going to the Lincoln location to get my bread. I love the bread but the customer service and vibe at Le Quartier is so rough. The workers seem really annoyed to help, the actual flow of the shop is a nightmare. Sandwiches get made really fast, coffee drinks can take anywhere from 5-15 minutes, and the shop the last 4 times I was in there was pretty dirty and poorly kept. It’s a bummer. Bakeries usually have an efficiency to them that makes sense but this is truly all over the place. I don’t know what the Omaha locations are like but I think Lincoln is not being prioritized.

Would like to highlight the extraordinary service extended to me by the store manager Nicole.

I live near LQ and have shopped/ eaten here almost weekly for the past decade or so (update: even longer.) It is an absolute gem in Nebraska. You will not find better bread or pastries. Period. They started with bread, and have slowly expanded into a range of pastries, desserts, soups and sandwiches, and now gelato. Every single thing they sell is best in class. On the pricier side, but worth every penny. I’m happy to pay it to keep them in business in Lincoln!

I had water with something black floating in the bottom. I alerted staff & they seemed irritated & gave me a new glass of water, which I trustingly drank from before finding a dead fly in & I again spoke with staff. They just about slammed down an additional water to me without much acknowledgment. I felt uneasy about this third water. I spoke with a manager after this & although they apologized, they just stared at me & didn’t seem to know how to engage in a matter of fact discussion about how the employees behavior was unacceptable. There is no “contact us” for concerns on their website for further discussion of concerns.

These are the best French pastries in Nebraska. Dare I say even further than that? I might dare. Because these pastries are always the flakiest, butteriest, delicious, and aesthetically-pleasing pastries around. I highly recommend any of their fresh fruit danishes, their cruffins (my mom’s favorite), or their breakfast sandwiches. I have never been disappointed and feel like I’m melting every time one of these delicious creations enters my mouth. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Came here on the spur of the moment just to get some pastries and was very much impressed with all the bread and funky stuff here that we ended up getting much more than expected.

The bread, croissant and pastries are made on site, which they used to be in Paris, but, rumor has it, now aren’t necessarily, as small French bakeries have experienced tough economics, forcing consolidation and cost cutting measures, including possibly substitution of traditional ingredients.
