Best meal we’ve had on our trip. Food was excellent. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy French meal that’s not overly rich. Every dish had great flavour, portion sizes are generous, plating is great.

Best lamb I’ve ever had, best (french) onion soup I’ve ever had, top 3 crème brûlée ever.

If you’re coming to Paris, this restaurant is a must add to the itinerary.

We had such a Wonderful time at Le Poulbot! Best meal we have had in Paris so far! Wonderful friendly service. We had the onion soup and escargot for starters. And the duck and beef for main meal. The special dessert was a passion fruit and strawberry pavlova. I would 11/10 recommend for traditional French cuisine with a unique flair!

We really really enjoyed our time here! The food was phenomenal, I had the salmon and it was so good I could have eaten a second one straight away! The foie gras and onion soup were so tasty! My husband has the duck confit and it was crispy and so well cooked. The service was amazing. We had our two dogs with us so had to sit outside on a frosty November evening. Sashka was so kind and braved the cold weather for us haha. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Paris!

The restaurant, while compact, maintains an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. The service was exceptional, particularly from the waiter, whose charming “Bon appétit” and consistently positive demeanor significantly enhanced my dining experience. The culinary offerings were superb , demonstrating impeccable taste, flavor, and presentation . As this was my inaugural dining experience in Paris, I would definitely return!

The duck fit is something to die for and the staff here are fantastic. We make a reservation much later but we arrived ahead of schedule and we thought of trying to ask whether we can dine in earlier. Guess what, they were so kind to check for us and able to got us a table! Sashak was constantly checking on us to ensure we are well taken care of. The ambience was truly amazing that comes with a strong Paris vibe.

First meal we had as soon as we arrived and it was a great start to our trip. French onion soup was the perfect hearty and warming starter and the pork rib was indulgent and so tasty. We hadn’t booked but it was only a very short wait. Staff were friendly. It’s a bit cramped upstairs but was fine for two of us. I would return.

Nestled On a narrow, hilly cobblestone Street in the trendy Montmartre neighborhood, this crusty little mom-n-pop hole in the wall delivers on all fronts. Attentive and energetic service and tasty classic French bistro dishes in a casually elegant and intimate dining area. It’s the kind of place that you can sit back, relax and get to know your neighboring diners.

Despite Visiting during the off-season in the middle of November, The restaurant was full and we were fortunate to snag the final empty table when we arrived at about 130 on a Thursday. If they were this busy during a cold and windy November day, I can’t imagine how busy They’d be during the busy season.

We both had the onion soup appetizer, which was tasty and really hit the spot For a cold and blustery day(It even snowed a little bit during the meal!)

But the entrées were the star of the show.

I had the boeuf bourguignon and my dining companion had the Travers De porc laque miel, cuit basse temperature frites maison(honey glazed pork ribs)

Both were exquisitely prepared, hearty portioned And brought home the perfect comfort meal that we were looking for.

As far as the pricing, after tip(Yes, it’s good to tip servers in Europe if your experience is exemplary) it was about 100€ Which might seem a little expensive. However, for the quality, portions and the high rent neighborhood it really is reasonable and we will happily go back the next time we visit.

We thank the entire staff for giving us an amazing experience!

My First time eating french cuisine in Paris
We ordered the onion soup, tender beef stew bourguignon and traditional duck confit
The duck confit was more sweet but it wasn’t bad
The onion soup was very unique. We ordered it despite reading a lot of bad reviews on it but it ended up tasting good
My personal favourite was the beef stew
The waitress was very kind
The restaurant is a bit cramped

Wonderful – without exception.
Bustling yet peaceful, indoor and outdoor tables available (October). The staff were incredibly friendly and so helpful.
The food? Incredible!
The French onion soup was deeply flavoured and garnished with a beautifully nutty gruyère, and the escargot were served in a light yet flavoursome sauce, accompanied by a touch of seasonal salad and traditional bread.
For mains, the salad of ham, figs, walnuts and soft blue cheese was an absolute treasure trove of flavours (also VERY big! – I may order the smaller version next time), whereas as the beef bourguigon was slow-cooked, meltingly soft and utterly beyond compare.
Amazing and well worth the cost, which was excellent for the prices charged.
€90 for two starters, bread, two mains, table water and a beautiful glass of rich, deep red wine.

Very nice and friendly restaurant. The meals felt like previously prepared and then plated when ordered but nonetheless they tasted amazing! We had beef bourguignon and lamb. Both tasted very tender with perfect taste and delicious vegetables. The house warm wine was also very good! It did feel very touristy though because all the guests were visitors and it was very cosy inside.
