What a superb traditional French dinner. It was a small place but was quickly full by 8pm. Be sure to make a reservation way in advance. I ordered the frog legs and escargoes (7 pieces) and both dishes were just absolutely tasty and delicious. The customer service was very good, both waiter and waitress were so friendly. I really did love this place.

Dinner was exceptional – kind and busy staff; food that was delicious; charming spot. We had the escargot cassolette – the best! My truffle salad was bright and earthy – amazing! Great ravioli, wine, and creme brulee to share. I highly recommend. While there we booked dinner for our return trip! Love this place – must book!

What a little gem! We were only going to be in Paris for one day & booked for lunch. It was packed, noisy & everything smelled delicious – just the sort of place we’d hoped it would be. The staff never stopped, they were efficient & friendly. My husband & I don’t speak French but our companion did so we got everything we asked for. We had the baked Camembert, rack of lamb, pigs cheeks & another lamb dish, crème brûlée & tart tatin. Washed down with a fabulous bottle of Crozes Hermitage! The food was sublime & absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend if you want to visit a true French bistro on your travels in & around Notre Dame.

Very good French bistro, with delicious typical French dishes. Friendly team and generally atmosphere, maybe quite loudly but is nice to enjoy the food between funny people enjoying good food. We loved the fruits with Armagnac!

Our absolute favorite meal on our entire trip was at this place.. it was that good! The place is warm and cozy, the service was spectacular.
Coming to the food.. we got the escargot to start and it was delicious. The sauce it came with was excellent for dipping. For the entrees, I got the pepper crusted steak and my husband got the duck. Both were excellent! It was my husband’s birthday and we got the molten chocolate cake and they brought it out with sparkles singing happy birthday.. it was a surprise we weren’t expecting and it truly warmed our hearts.
When I come back to paris I’m definitely coming back here again!

Another fantastic meal at Le Petite Pontoise!!! It never disappoints. Made a reservation online and we arrive and were seated right away. The choices on the menu tonight were varied and unique and we all got different things and shared a bit to taste the other meals. We also shared a nice bottle of wine, 2 desserts and they had my husband’s favorite scotch! We have been in France for almost a month and this was by far our best meal in France. Can’t wait to come back next year

The food was delicious. Our host was so kind to extend our reservation after we were stuck in terrible traffic. The restaurant was packed and you could tell is was a popular place with locals for good reasons. Not much English heard in the place and we loved it.

When we arrived we decided to sit outside and we were greeted by Pauline who has the best personality of anyone we have met in France. She was so funny, personable and her knowledge and service made our restaurant experience an absolute joy! Shall I say “joy de vie”! Our meals were incredibly delicious! I had a double portion of the best frog legs in butter n garlic served with the creamiest mashed potatoes along with escargot served in a small copper pot with mushrooms. A fabulous traditional meal! My husband had the foie gras and the lamb stew that was cooked for 7 hours and he did not leave a morsel on his plate. My sister and husband had the Caesar salad along with cod fish and the most amazing pork cheeks that would melt in your mouth! Dessert was a chocolate lava cake that was sinful! Our experience here was incredible. Thank you to Pauline for putting smiles on our faces and to the chef for the impeccable meal!
