Each meal paired perfectly with a different beverage that would bring out the flavour’s, an explanation of each plate we ordered and how to perfectly arrange it was honestly spectacular. There is such a love and pride in the food, it really is inexplicable. If you’re looking to receive your food quick stat, so you can eat and go, then a generic restaurant is better suited for what you’re after as Le Petit Louvre is for a full blown dining experience filled with culture and love for the art of food. Thank you for a wonderful evening Le Petit Louvre, I love Hubert’s but you honestly make it look like McDonald’s
Owned, operated and loved by Christian who is the head chef, sommelier and fromager – Le Petit Louvre is a hidden Rococo inspired Potts Point palace of 4 tables in an intimate 18th century dining experience.
The food is exceptional. The service is attentive and highly knowledgeable. The menu is concise and a wash with good classic French cuisine and the wine list is listless. In other words, Christian will recommend the best wine matches for any dish that you might choose.
Quite possibly the best food I’ve had outside of France, we will be returning to indulge in Christian ‘s food, cheese and wine often.
The owner Christian is very friendly, welcoming and truly passionates about his home-cooking delicacies. Simple meals with great flavours.
The chef on call !!!
The decor that we felt back to the 17 century of kingdom during Louis XV times at palace of Versailles.
Superbe
If you are a big fan of French culture, French food and wine and this is the place must to dine in at.
For a non-French person like me I felt like I had a tour to France and for a French guy like my bf he said it heals his homesick.
The chef and boss Christian is super friendly and warm. We feel like we were just guests at a friend’s place.
Covid made a lot of small businesses struggle including this one. I feel lucky Sydney still has this special little food place which is full of culture. Definitely try it if you’re interested!!!
Bon apetit.
We love this place! Go visit and be prepared for an amazing experience.
3 courses with wine was about $150 for us, give or take a wine.
