Honestly, to say this place was amazing, is an absolute understatement, it was a full blown experience…Christian is so knowledgeable in his food and wine.
Each meal paired perfectly with a different beverage that would bring out the flavour’s, an explanation of each plate we ordered and how to perfectly arrange it was honestly spectacular. There is such a love and pride in the food, it really is inexplicable. If you’re looking to receive your food quick stat, so you can eat and go, then a generic restaurant is better suited for what you’re after as Le Petit Louvre is for a full blown dining experience filled with culture and love for the art of food. Thank you for a wonderful evening Le Petit Louvre, I love Hubert’s but you honestly make it look like McDonald’s

We recently enjoyed a delightful high tea experience that exceeded all expectations. The ambiance was charming, with beautiful paintings all around, even on the ceiling! It really felt like we were at the Louvre. The assortment of sandwiches and pastries, and the champagne, was delightful. I also loved cheese and fresh oysters. Combined with impeccable service and attention to detail it was a perfect afternoon of indulgence and relaxation! A truly special experience.

It’s hard to describe in words what joy it is to eat in this wonderful petit French restaurant.

Owned, operated and loved by Christian who is the head chef, sommelier and fromager – Le Petit Louvre is a hidden Rococo inspired Potts Point palace of 4 tables in an intimate 18th century dining experience.

The food is exceptional. The service is attentive and highly knowledgeable. The menu is concise and a wash with good classic French cuisine and the wine list is listless. In other words, Christian will recommend the best wine matches for any dish that you might choose.

Quite possibly the best food I’ve had outside of France, we will be returning to indulge in Christian ‘s food, cheese and wine often.

Had an amazing time, it was worth way more than what we paid. The host’s recommendations were spot on, it was truly an experience that felt like stepping into France. It wasn’t just a meal, it was a real journey, with incredible flavours and fantastic wine pairings. The restaurant itself was stunning, with incredible attention to detail in the decor, it felt like I had entered another world. This place definitely beats any dining I’ve had in Sydney. Will be back soon!

Quelle surprise. An wonderful experience from start to finish. The best French food I’ve had outside of France. Charismatic Christian welcomed us and shared stories of each of the dishes throughout. Cheese fondue like you’ve never tasted paired with delicious and unexpected wines. You must stay for dessert.

The best cheese and wine place with rich French culture in art, interior, decoration and food.
For a non-French person like me I felt like I had a tour to France and for a French guy like my bf he said it heals his homesick.
The chef and boss Christian is super friendly and warm. We feel like we were just guests at a friend’s place.
Covid made a lot of small businesses struggle including this one. I feel lucky Sydney still has this special little food place which is full of culture. Definitely try it if you’re interested!!!
