Very friendly service, they went out of their way to get us a table during a busy service. A perfect entrecote frite, the best steak we have eten in a long time ,perfectly cooked.Very good value for money, when we are back in Cassel we will certainly go back here.

Nice. Not a tourist trap. Kassel has something from a previous age. Cobble stones, houses in disrepair. Signs of neglect. And free parking space! Typical dishes from French-Flandres. Poor men’ s food. A thick soup of cauliflower with some coquilles. Main course was an entire saddle of rabbit in mustard sauce and oyster mushrooms. Just a great dish! 1 star of? Because the green salad was over due.
Swift and correct service; got my plate served from the youngest in the house. Well done.
And local prices as well.
Will be back in 1 month when the leaves are gone and we can look from the top of the hill to Dunkerque and beyond.

I was in Cassel, the day Tempête Ciaran arrived. I had lunch here, and I fully enjoyed it! The porc de jarret, sauce caramélisée de la bière brune was without fault. The sauce was complex and I could tell right away this was homemade. For dessert, the apple tart with walnuts was also incredible. Portions were generous. This was a true culinary experience from the North of France. Service was very attentive and friendly.

On a solo motorbike trip and deciding to stay in Cassel for my first night, I wanted to try somewhere special for my first meal at a real French restaurant. Le Panoramic did not disappoint. What a fantastic little place! The food was incredible, the staff were superb and the overall experience will definitely bring me back. Notably, the chef and I got talking (mostly about rugby because England were playing France) and he kept checking in on me and making sure the food was good, which it was. It was just really nice to see that it clearly meant a lot to him and the young waiter that my first French experience was a good one. If they read this, I’m sorry I haven’t mentioned you by name, I forgot to ask, but to the chef and young lad waiter…. Fantastic job!
