We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts.
At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.
Classic light fare & organic breads fill out the menu at this rustic-chic bakery/cafe chain.

Nice drinks, quick service, warm atmosphere.
We took a matcha latte and a honey ginger lemon drink, and both were delicious. A little expensive but worth the warm drinks on a snowy day.
Be warned that the mini cakes are truly mini. Like the size of a brownie bite.

Tried this place for couple times before. One time brunch and for some tea /coffee. Today we got hot pumpkin latte. It was a bit cold. They have nice pasties like croissants. They close at 7 pm. Kinda like early. Plenty of parking and free which is good.

Fabulous lunch today!! The food was absolutely delicious however, my chicken cobb salad had 2 pieces of chicken on it. I feel there could have been more chicken for sure!! The quiche Lorraine was so incredible!! Genet was our waitress and she was lovely, kind and took exceptional care of us. She laughed with us and smiled the entire time. I love her and can’t wait to see her again!!

Good option to casual breakfast or lunch, I enjoyed the loaf and other bread options. The place is a little narrow. I recommend enjoy the outside table.

It has been a few years since my last visit to Le Pain Quotidien. They remain one of the best boulangeries in the DMV. The staff is knowledgeable and engaging; they seem to truly enjoy working there, and it shows in their friendly service. I highly recommend a visit!

Pastries are always fresh. My chocolate croissant was still warm!
Very, very nice staff. Very nice, homy decor. I tried many other cafés in town. This is the one with the BEST coffee, pastries and it’s menu is large! Great place for brunch too!
Clean bathrooms, plenty of space to sit. (Most local cafés don’t have enough sitting)
Shopping strip includes stores, a CVS, and a some grocery store.

I Absolutely loved Le Pain Quotidien on Old Georgetown! The location is fantastic, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely meal. It’s a perfect spot to meet friends or bring the family for a quick nice bite.
Their lattes and cappuccinos are simply amazing—so smooth and flavorful, truly reminiscent of European cafés. I also can’t get enough of their avocado toast; it’s hands down my favorite! The omelettes are delicious, and they offer a fantastic selection of pastries that satisfy any sweet tooth.
Overall, I highly recommend Le Pain Quotidien for anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with outstanding food and drinks. It’s definitely a go-to spot for brunch or a casual gathering with friends.

There is no reason to describe how good the quality is here. The entire selection of choices of pastries, meals and drinks stand alone. The photos give a real image of the quality and variety of quality healthy choices. This location has its own local followers that clearly choose this from many other places. Thank you for making out time there relaxing.

This is my favorite cafe in the area. It’s cozy but also bright with large windows up front, indoor or outdoor seating, counter service or table service. Portions are not large (especially the waffle) but usually enough for that one meal (just don’t expect to take any home). I was surprised the Croque Monsieur is open-faced but it was tasty. I love that they have good cold drinks (mint lemonade) and hot espresso drinks or Belgian chocolate. My favorite is the mint tea because it’s literally fresh mint in hot water. The warm grain bowl is good but too dry for my hubs. I like the quiche. And of course the pastries are delicious. I also love that they post calories so I can include that in my decisions. I just wish they were open later for dinner!
