Social Profile:

We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

Classic light fare & organic breads fill out the menu at this rustic-chic bakery/cafe chain.

good atmosphere and location is clean, presentation of food is also really nice. we got two drinks, a doughnut as pictured, a sandwich, and an order of French toast,. The food and the drinks were really good. The service could have been better – we were not given or offered any water during our visit nor extra napkins. waiter seemed a bit distracted and inattentive.
Overall getting ready to leave it was a good experience, our total was $53.

Horrible experience. I was given tea that wasn’t the type I asked for. The tea did not pour out of the teapot correctly and would spill onto the table. Then my breakfast sandwich came and it looked horrible. The avocado was old and the sandwich tasted bad. I was expecting better than mediocre and what I got was way below average.

Truly one of the best places to stop for Sunday breakfast. Great prices and a nice, quiet atmosphere. We love the Sunny Breakfast Bowl, which is perfect after a weekend of indulging in unhealthy but delicious food. Mohammed is always fast and reliable on Sundays. I also enjoy the Baker’s Lunch Special, which is a great deal with tasty and satisfying filling options.

Started going here while being treated at U of P. Always a great tasting and healthy start to the day! They also have a wonderful selection of bread and pastries. My personal favorite is the breakfast bowl and ginger, honey, lemon hot tea!

Very welcoming atmosphere with well made bread. I had early breakfast here before my work get started and it was a great choice. All ingredients are fresh and served in a beautiful way.

It is difficult for me to review this place. The atmosphere expressed through upholstery is great. Wooden chair, huge and bright windows, nicely presented pastry items in the cupboard, various types of gems and seasoning on the table, everything I can see levels up my expectation. But that’s where the good news ends.
Servers are not very attentive to people. I have to raise my hands to a third time so that he can see me. There was a time he was walking right in front of my seat and missed my call; I ended up having to hint the other server that I would like to talk to him.
For the food, they were fine but not impressive. Coffee is not served in a traditional cup but comes with a set of a jar and a cup. The set itself has aesthetic value but not pragmatic utility. The cup has no handle, which makes me have difficulty enjoying hot coffee. So I have to wait till it cools down a bit, but come on, who likes lukewarm coffee?
For the skillet baked eggs, avocado, tomatoes, and feta cheese all add nice flavor into the dish, which is a plus. The only trouble is the bread, which tastes absolutely stale. Though looking fresh, bread is hard and dry. With this being said, it is not over toasted, since it is not toasted at all, but left to dry?
Overall, the astonishing dining environment does allure me to anticipate a wonderful experience to come, the actual food and service creates substantial setbacks.

Great experience. The bakery is aesthetically decorated, the furniture feels very cosy. The food is fantastic. I tried the croissant and it was exquisite. I got tea and it was a tea bag. I think loose leaf teas will go great with the overall theme of this establishment. The service was fantastic. Staff are sincerely warm and welcoming. Would strongly recommend.

In my opinion, this place has the best croissants in Philadelphia. While in town for a conference I tried three or four different places and these were by far the ones worth walking for.

This was me and my wife’s first time going here for a dine-in meal. The service was spectacular, the food was remarkable, and our experience had us moving ourselves for not coming here sooner. I had a skillet, my wife a breakfast bowl. My wife had a black coffee, I had the Belgium Mocha.

Overall it was wonderful, and we WILL return soon!
