The food tastes delicious here; it’s just a little pricy for what’s offered. Furthermore, when paying the check it places 22% as the first tip option, then 20% as the second choice, and 25% as the third choice. That feels predatory to me and not the aftertaste a restaurant wants to leave its customers. This is not the fault of the wonderful servers who work here, but against management for setting it up that way. If a server needs a 22% tip, then the servers are clearly not making anywhere near a living wage.

Had a reservation for a party to 10 people and everything went smoothly. We were here to celebrate graduation. Food came out at the same time for everyone. It was hot and delicious, wait staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was too loud for being just off a busy street. Just what we needed! Lots of French food classics and great dessert menu.

Tons of outdoor seating. Service is great; our server came out to check on is without being too pushy. Menu is limited; so don’t expect a large selection. Great roasted chicken and decent french onion soup. Burger and fries are great.

Dear Owners: since you weren’t present, here is a report on what happened at the restaurant this afternoon. A man came by, sat down outside, and ordered a $19 beer and an $8 plate of fries. He asked for the fries to be cooked extra crispy. He was surprised when the waiter returned almost immediately with the beer and fries. The fries had obviously been cooked long ago. They were not hot, let alone crisp. The man left without paying. He told the hostess that this conduct didn’t feel like a mistake. It felt like someone in the kitchen copped an attitude and sent out old, flaccid fries to teach your customer a lesson. The waiter didn’t notice or didn’t care or both. It was the first time the man, who lives a few blocks away, had ventured into your restaurant. It seems very unlikely he will be back soon.

Cozy french bistro with dim lighting. They put up the Xmas tree when we went and it was so cute. We enjoyed many of the things we ordered – martinis were well made and they have a nice french Champagne by the glass. Mushroom ravioli was underseasoned and in general underwhelming. Tuna tartare was delicious. Steak was cooked well, as was the burger. French fries were served generously but needed to be more crunchy. They were out of the lemon tart and chocolate mousse desserts and we dined at 6pm!

Le Monde has NEVER been known for its service! We reluctantly went there with friends from out of town. They certainly lived up to their reputation of bad service. The waiter was rarely around. We had outdoor seating and he just basically stayed inside. This was mid-afternoon so it was hardly busy at all. Instead of checking one of the tip suggestions already listed on the bill of 20%, 22%, or 25%, I chose the line for the Custom tip. When my monthly credit card bill came in, I see that they still charge me for one of the higher pre-suggested tip amounts. Ridiculous!!

The food is the best I’ve ever had. The burrata was delicious. It’s hard finding good service in New York but this place was exceptional. The service was so accommodating and it was an overall terrific experience. Can’t wait to come back here again.
