If I could give this place a zero stars I would. I came all the way from Dallas and I was told this was one of the best spot for African cuisine only for me to get OLD STALE FOOD. The fish was so old and bad. I’m highly disappointed I would not recommend this place to anyone. THE PICTURE I’M PROVIDING IS EXACTLY HOW MY FOOD CAME. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Lemandingue is one of the best African restaurant in Philadelphia the food is always delicious. I have been eating at this restaurant for couple of years but the food has been a savior for me because there’s no way that I will cook on my own if I can spend less than $20 and get the best of the best.

I ordered from here before so I know this isn’t what the potato greens are like all the time. Why would yall give me a bland spinach in oil? It’s nasty it’s no red oil.. no flavor nothing just spinach in oil. What makes matters worse is I’m on the whole other side of Philly so the travel was crazy

Has been on a constant downward trajectory. Portions and quality down. prices up. Food is usually good and sometimes it is meh- but
don’t bother placing a phone order. They don’t even bother taking your name because they are not gonna start preparing your food until you arrive. you will still wait for another 20 minutes like a fool. That is after you are able to navigate thru the throng of disorganized queue of frustrated customer and delivery guys . Counter guys and young girl always exhibit a funky attitude . Undercooked uncooked goat meat. dry jollof rice. not again.
threw half of it away as in the picture

The store is not clean and been under construction for a year and still serving food in a not so appealing environment. The food is okay they give a lot of meat in sauces and less sauce. They cutting the portions sizes . The service is not the best very unorganized 1 person working with no help . They don’t have a system it’s always a long wait with no where to sit because it’s of unfinished construction. It used to be an eat in restaurant . Need to be more appealing, clean and better pick up system . Also need to keep the outside of the store cleaned since that the first thing customers see.

I’m not sure if they got a new cook but the fact I had to season my cassava leaf is crazy. The rice is too mushy, I can literally mash the rice up. This was my go to spot for potatoe greens and cassava. I’m not sure what’s going on with the cook from back then compared to the cook now but you guys desperately need a change. My past 6 orders have been BLAND and the rice is overcooked, it’s laziness on the cooks part because why isn’t the food simply seasoned? You guys need a new cook, get back to being the best African restaurant in Philly!

Ordered delivery and the food did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. This was the lamb with jollof rice, side of plantain and side of cabbage. The cabbage i wasn’t crazy about (too soft no crunch) but everything else was very good and would order again. They give you plenty of food. I believe the prices are fair for the amount of food you receive.

Horrible all around. Cashier had very bad attitude! Food portions small, potato greens nasty, taste and look like just spinach with no flavor. Won’t be going back
