Many people visit here after visiting the Palace of Versailles. We see why. It’s a stone’s throw away as its website notes. And the food is delicious! There are English menus for tourists like us. Our personal tour guide took us here and we throughly liked the whole experience. Just don’t forget to save room for dessert!!

This was my first evening in Versailles and I was very pleased with my choice to eat at Le Limousin. It’s a classic French restaurant with fantastic ambience and impeccable service. The waiter was very obliging and even replaced my mocktail after a wasp died in it! I had the green beans with parmesan for an entree and was happy with the simplicity of it. For me main I ordered the grilled duck with au gratin as my side. As you’d expect from a French restaurant, bread comes complimentary. I also ordered the rice pudding cake. It wasn’t quite to my liking, being used to a more creamy texture, but the flavour was rich and sweet. I think the syrup was a bit much but I can see others really enjoying this. I would definitely come back here in the future should I find myself in Versailles again.

You know its going to be a great meal when even strangers stop you on the street to rave about this restaurant.

This bistro is on a corner of the main strip of restaurants in Versailles, making it a very convenient location. The menu is traditional French food. My party tried the steak, the lamb, the duck and the veal. Each dish was prepared perfectly. The lamb deserves a special mention for being exceptionally flavorful and tender.

Service is quick and efficient. The only negative aspect of service was the waiter failing to ask what side we each wanted with our mains and instead defaulting to fries. This was a minor issue, the fries were still good.

This was one of two best meals I’ve had in France.
The service was impeccable. The waiter was very knowledgeable and even provided pictures from the kitchen.
The cote de Rhone was fantastic.
The heart of beef filet was wonderful. The taste and tenderness.
The beef cheeks was delightful.
The cod was very tasty.
The chocolate mousse and creme brulee was really a lovely end to a great dinner.
Their special is the lamb in herbs and it is in the dinning room cut to order. It looked great but I just don’t eat lamb.
The escargot was good.

Visiting Versailles from Canada. This restaurant has excellent food and atmosphere. Very cozy and warm on a cold night. Our waiter Louis was exceptional. His friendliness and recommendations were very much appreciated. Ask for him and order the filet steak with peppercorn sauce and potatoes gratin as a side. .You won’t be disappointed. Also try the after dinner cocktail made with Chartreuse Green & Yellow Don’t know the name of the actual cocktail. Regardless again you won’t be disappointed.

Got lucky to find a table during lunch since it was fully booked . I had the rumsteak pepper platter with potato gratin. The meat was juicy and tender cooked a point as i requested. The cuisine is french and very authentic. Paired with cote du rhone glass of wine. The creme brûlée was divine for dessert . I hesitated to take their gigot platter ( which is their specialty) to be not tender or fatty but it looked tempting. Prices are on high range though …

This lively street has lots of restaurants and we were not sure where is the good place for late lunch. Since their interior looks nice and calm, we finally chose here.

Great traditional food. We ended up going to the same place for dinner every night we spend in Versailles, no need to discover a new place when food is this good. We tried different dishes and everything was amazing. Don’t miss the Gigot!!! Make sure you make table reservations in advance, it’s very popular amongst the locals.
