Le Gargotier in Broumana is more than a restaurant — it’s a landmark woven into Lebanon’s culinary memory. Since its establishment in 1971, it has remained one of the rare places where quality, consistency, and genuine hospitality never waver.
I hadn’t visited in a while, but stepping back inside felt like reconnecting with an old friend. The familiar warmth, the impeccable service, and the refined yet comforting dishes reminded me why Le Gargotier has kept such a loyal clientele for more than five decades.
The food was as excellent as ever, the ambiance unchanged in the best possible way — elegant, inviting, and effortlessly nostalgic.
Le Gargotier remains one of Lebanon’s finest restaurants, a true classic that continues to deliver with grace. Always a pleasure to return.
Not a big fan of their canned ingredients or salads but they have a good variety of other yummy plates and classical deserts.
I called to ask a very simple question: whether the place is pet-friendly. Instead of a polite “no, sorry,” the staff member responded in a rude and argumentative way, as if I was doing something offensive just by asking.
She started lecturing me about government rules and saying that dogs belong only in gardens and not in restaurants. That was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. I called to ask a question, not to be argued with or made to feel uncomfortable.
Good customer service is simply answering politely and respectfully. A straightforward “sorry, we are not pet-friendly” would have been more than enough. It is not the staff’s role to argue or make a customer feel bad for asking.
Very disappointing attitude, especially for a restaurant that claims a high standard but even if they are 5 stars Michelin and a pet friendly restaurant their attitude can let them loose clients easily . Go train your staff what a good customer service is to answer politely
Ive been going to this restaurant since i was a child with my parents and it’s still as good as the first time ive tried it! ✨✨
