A nice restaurant with good food. Visited a couple of times. Gave 4 stars as I wasn’t very impressed with the pudding either time, first time I had to ask for the Ice-cream that was supposed to come with the cinnamon waffle (couldn’t taste the cinnamon) and second time I went for the mini desserts and it came with laughing cow squares which was bizarre and the sweets lacked something. My husband however loves the creme brulé. The lamb was tasty but at over £30 seemed expensive for what it was and the way it was presented. I would visit again but just needs some improvement

Saturday lunch. Really great experience. Restaurant looks great. Varied menu and wine list. Food was amazing. And the staff were extremely friendly. Definitely going back.

We made a very last minute decision to eat out and wanted to try this place as it had been recommended by friends. Apart from the fact it was a bit chilly, we had a fabulous evening. The food was delicious, plenty to choose from on the menu! Portion sizes were just right and the wine suggested by the waiter was perfect. We will definitely be back.

Just visited Le French Corner with two friends for dinner and had a really lovely time.

Food didn’t come out straight away – but this is not a ‘fast food’ restaurant, we were glad that the chef had taken the time to cook it properly! And everything that came was as described & delicious! We were all hoping to have one of the many sweet options available but were so full we couldn’t!

Wine was very well priced & there was good choice, would recommend the Cote du Rhone (probably spelt wrong but fruity and full bodied).

Service was slow but there were two waiting staff and the chef so this was expected when we arrived. Having all worked in hospitality we know a new opening would be busy & all staff were eager to please so we were happy to wait.

Others in the restaurant were being difficult and quite frankly rude to the staff which we felt was dealt with well.

Overall we had a great experience and I would definitely go again. Food was tasty, staff were helpful and polite especially considering they were a staff member short!

We enjoyed a very pleasant and very affordable meal here this evening. Personally, I had the French onion soup and beef bourguignon, which were excellent. I particularly enjoyed the pairing suggestions on the wine menu that cross-referenced with their food menu.

Popped in for a quick lunch, we ate from the simple Formule Menu. This is the most affordable and therefore basic of choices but we were happy with a Plat, dessert and glass of wine each for £15.90pp. The chef came out to serve our desserts, a nice touch. Very good, friendly service. I will be back to sample the longer menus and a la carte. Steak à cheval in photo.

The French corner cancelled on us at 18 hours notice for staff training for Christmas in their London restaurant (or so they say). No suggestion that they’ll make it up to us – clearly don’t care about their customers outside of London. Avoid at all costs.
