Le French is nothing short of extraordinary.

I have to mention first, that I’m a well traveled person and Paris is among my absolute FAVORITE cities to visit and experience. This gourmet, casual-chic Parisian bistro delivers French cuisine with global depth and soul, beautifully honoring the sisters’ Senegalese heritage while remaining unmistakably refined. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear this is not just a restaurant, it’s a thoughtfully curated culinary experience.

Chef Babacar’s influence is immaculate and deeply intentional. Every dish tells a story. His flavors are precise, layered, and emotionally resonant. You can quite literally taste his journey through years of classical training and lived culinary experience. Though new to the Denver food scene, he is unmistakably a veteran of his craft, cooking with confidence, restraint, and profound respect for technique.

The service matches the caliber of the kitchen. At lunch, Lacy guided us through the menu with warmth and expertise, creating a seamless and welcoming experience. When we returned the following evening for dinner, Annalise provided equally exceptional service; attentive, polished, and genuinely hospitable.

General Manager Mike’s leadership is evident at every level. The staff operates with cohesion and pride, and his outward respect and rapport with the chef speaks volumes about the culture being built here.

Standout dishes:
• Pesto Chicken Crêpe (Lunch): Unexplainably delicious—comforting yet elevated.
• French Onion Soup: Deeply layered, patiently reduced, and executed to absolute perfection.
• Saffron Tomato Bouillabaisse (Dinner): The most balanced version I’ve ever tasted—the saffron and tomato walk a beautiful, disciplined tightrope.
• Risotto: The undeniable star of the night. Depth, layers, and flavor that linger long after the last bite—simply exemplary.
• Tiramisu: Fantastic. I genuinely wanted to lick the bowl.

You would be doing yourself a true disservice if you didn’t experience Le French. This is a rare, full-spectrum five-star dining experience—exceptional food, outstanding service, and heart in every detail. Denver is lucky to have it.

(Dear Google, please do not add captions to my photos. I did not name these dishes in the captions and have since deleted the incorrect names that were automatically added. That’s disturbing to say the least.)

A bit of a disappointment for us. It started well. We were running late and the hostess was very nice and accommodated our change of reservation time.
Our waiter was good at the beginning, but declined pretty quickly after that.
We ordered our food and honestly, it was bland. Everything had no seasoning. I started with the French onion soup and it had potential, but just not good. We also had the nicoise salad. Not a complicated item to make, but again, it was just ok.
We ordered the Charcuterie, and he brought us the Fromage plate.
I ordered the boeuf bourguignon. The meat was very tender and it was a generous portion, but not flavorful.
The last thing we ordered was the Jamon crepe and it was not good. A big disappointment.
After ordering, our waiter was pretty non existent. Even the hostess came by and gave us more water. She was more attentive than he.
Overall, the visit was a bust. We had high hopes, but it was a disappointment. Hopefully it was just a bad night for them, and I hope the service and food improve.

The sophisticated, tranquil atmosphere will soothe your senses in preparation for delightful dishes. I imbibed in a mocktail paired with 3 small plates: escargot, pasties and lamb sausage. Magnifique

We had brunch before a movie and everything was perfect. The food was delicious, we shared a croissant egg sandwich and the vegetable omelette. Even the coffee was great. We will definitely be back. Black owned business icing on the cake, these Senegalese sisters are rocking it.

I drove 25 minutes to try their “chocolate and fruits” crepe. I spent maybe 8 minutes in the restaurant and had the worst experience. The hostess rolls her eyes at me when I walk in and ask to place a to-go order. I was kind of shocked. The bartender, the only nice one, took my order. I asked if they had coffee and this other girl- I’m assuming a waitress, lists under her breath all the types of coffees they have, not as a suggestion, but more as a passive aggressive way to make me feel “dumb” for asking that question. So now I’m just super annoyed and wanna go. My food comes, mind you after tip I spent $30.63. All I ordered was a SMALL coffee and 1 crepe. This “fruits” crepe was $16+tax. I get in my car and look at 5 halves pieces of strawberries and that’s it. Then half a jar of nutella inside. Nothing else?! Why is this called “fruits” and description says “berries” and there’s literally 5 little pieces. This is the weakest crepe I’ve ever had and not worth the price what so ever. This, and the attitude of the workers- very clicky, very judgmental, very mean girl vibes. Not a fan.

This was not what we were hoping for. We started with checking the website for the menu and it not posted for this location for some reason. Once we got in the atmosphere felt sleepy and service was slow. It felt like our server/bartender was the only person on the floor at some points. We tried the French onion soup, it was ok but filled with mushrooms, we tried the short rib poutine and the fries we soggy and buried under cheese with also tons of mushrooms. The escargot was pretty good, probably the best item we had, flavorful pesto. The burrata wasn’t standout, a lot of items on the plate but not a ton of flavor. Overall the price point and the appeal don’t match up with the food or service.

I have been coming here since they opened. And I’ve never had anything but a phenomenal experience. I sit at the bar sometimes for a couple hours while I’m working and literally have such a great service experience each and every time. The bartenders are my favorite in town. My new favorite is the jambon-beurre at happy hour which starts at 2:00. I walk in and they fix my drink without even asking. If you want a chill place and great food, please try out Le French 9&co!

This place was beautiful and the food was amazing. A friend and I visited the restaurant for lunch on Tuesday and we were incredibly satisfied with the service and the food. We were pleasantly surprised to have met the owner. She was so kind and polite. If we ever go back to Denver, this will surely be a stop on the itinerary.
The French onion soup was the best I’ve ever tasted. The escargot was better than what I had in Paris! Everything was delicious. From the food to the drinks.

One of my friends recommended this to me. Food was okay, It could’ve been better. I would say food was just okay. Drinks was also good. I would said 7 out of 10. I believe the bartender was busy not checking out on me and not even asking me how the food was. Service was 5 out of 10. I hate when servers don’t check on me but the manager or bar manager was just sitting staring at me not even trying to help him out when he was busy. The interior design was so nice, I could give them 9 out of 10. Dessert was good and also macchiato was good as well. That’s 10 out 10.
