The restaurant is cozy and beautifully designed.
Most importantly, the food was incredible. Every dish we had was phenomenal. I ordered Confit du Canard. I’ve never been a big fan of dark meat or duck but wanted to try the French classic. I’m forever converted. The meat was cooked to perfection and was falling off of the bone and some of the best tasting meat I’ve ever had in my life. My wife’s Chicken Supreme was equally incredible. The mashed potatoes were smothered in an unforgettable mushroom wine sauce. The crispy caramelized onion flakes on top elevated the dish even more. Every bite of our meal was so good it demanded our full attention.
We ended with dessert: the chocolate mousse and creme brulee. These were just as amazing as our mains and the ideal final act to a perfect dining experience.
Highly highly recommend this restaurant. We know we’ll be back.
The service was the best service Ive ever gotten! Our server Eric was so lovely, made us feel welcomed and not just as annoying turists.
The atmosphere was stunning and they dimmed the lights for us to create a romantic vibe. We also had the opportunity to speak with the owner or manager ( not sure ) as we were discussing a famous green sauce and she was very kind as well finding answers for us.
For the food, I ordered an onion soup which was delicious and they happily put one soup into two bowls so that my girlfriend could enjoy some too! For mains my girlfriend had steak which she devoured in one breath ( so good ) and I had fish and chips with their homemade tartar sauce – very flavorful! They assured us that all of their sauces are homemade which is a great plus too! Everything tasted fresh.
We also have to mention that we visited 3 other established today and none of them provided water or bread for us meanwhile all french speakers around us got some BUT here ?! They provided a large water and a basket of bread that they even refilled.
Not a tourist trap at all – trully a heartwarming frech restaurant! Will come back! Eric thank you for your service you were amazing!
