The best french bakery i’ve been to in Australia, the pastries are unreal and the coffees aswell. I am french and i’ve never found a french bakery that good in Australia before. Great job guys ! Félicitations à vous !

It’s a hidden gem. We probably would have missed it if it weren’t for a local telling us to check it out.
The moment we walked in it felt like we were in France. The display of food was just immaculate. I wanted to get one of everything and if I had a way to store then I would have.
We had a couple of the fresh made rolls. And a couple of sweets and it was some of the best food I’ve ever put in my mouth.

Nice little bakey offering some crafty treats. Picked up a sandwich and baguette. I didn’t see any dinning tables here.

I’ve had extensive french pastry and this place is pretty good but perhaps a touch overhyped? Or maybe I just went on a bad day?

Had the brioche, which was a touch chewier than I would associate with brioche – I feel the gluten was overdeveloped. The hazelnut filling was tasty but so sweet it reminded me of fake hazelnut ice cream; didn’t really compliment the brioche. Maybe a citrus would cut through more?

Also had the koign amann which was delicious. I’d love thicker layers but genuinely just personal preference – can’t fault it.

What an amazing asset for Aireys Inlet, an authentic French boulangerie, complete with French bakers!

We made the trip from Warrnambool (leave early! They sold out before we arrived on our first attempt the week prior, and now we’ve tried the viennoiseries we can see why!)

Since it’s quite a journey, and because we also had people back home asking us to bring something back, we ended up with 29 items (yes, 29!!!)

Everything we tried was absolutely spectacular. The pain suisse, chocolatine (pas pain au chocolat, désolé Uriel!), Portuguese tart, and caramel brioche were standouts for me, but equally impressive were the kouign amann, pain au lait chocolat, almond croissant, almond brioche and chaussons aux pommes (a gift from Sam- merci beaucoup!)

Deliciously flakey, buttery goodness all round.

Coffees and chocolat chaud also a hit (again, thanks Sam!)

We will definitely be back (with others) but perhaps next time we won’t try to buy half the shop in one go. If you’re only going to make it once though, I’d recommend it!

Oh my god. Literally the best almond croissant I’ve ever had in my entire life… and I’ve been to France. Everything was amazing, we went back twice and tried five of the pastries and two of the baguettes. Nothing disappointed. I wish I could stay long enough to eat through the whole menu. Well done guys. Keep up the great work.

The viennoiseries are just as perfect: buttery, light, and not overly sweet, exactly the way they should be.

Prices are really fair for the quality, especially here in Australia.

How lucky is Airies Inlet. A genuine French bakehouse. There is nothing you could say against the quality of the products.
The only downside is that my waistline is going to be challenged.

Lovely little bakery with beautiful food.

The quality is clearly there because they always sell out before 12pm!

Only downside is not having a place to sit to eat and enjoy their coffee, but the little look out beside the lake is a perfect replacement!
