Wonderful Food! Wonderful Atmosphere! Wonderful Staff! We were greeted promptly, and seated outside where we requested. Social Distancing was enforced and we felt safe eating here. Me being Italian, I must say this is one of the best Italian Restaurants in Sarasota. If you are near the area, I definitely recommend. In the evenings they have beautiful lights that are lit up around you giving a wonderful ambience.

This is a nice sit down restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, and has an old fashioned Italian theme to it, very well done on the decor, inside and out, with wood and dark colors inside. The outside is nice as well but cars will be passing by and parking (that is everywhere in the area).

The server Debora was very nice and pleasant and added to the experience. The rest of the staff seemed nice as well.

The bread is very basic so if you are big on bread it was below average. The salad was very good.

The pasta they say is homemade, and the fettucini alfredo had great texture and taste. The pollo parmigiana had a good taste but the chicken could have been a little more fried, the texture was a little flimsy.

Overall the ambiance and service is great here, it is a good time for dinner. Not the best italian food out there but good.

When you’re on St Armand’s Key, you just got to stop by and visit Debora and the fine staff here at Le Colonne. The homemade pasta certainly satisfies, as does the wood fired pizza! And Debora will make you feel like part of her big Italian family. You can dine indoors or outdoors, and the prices are very reasonable for the Circle.

Ahhhh the great taste of gorgonzola sauce with the gnocchi was so delicious! Loved the bread with oil and vinegar served standardly to the table. My wife got the spaghetti carbonara and let me finish licking my lips it was so good! Great location and can’t wait to come back!

Quaint outside dining opportunity in Saint Armand Square in Sarasota. The service was great and the food was very good. Pasta is homemade and very tasty. Ordered two dishes, chicken parm and lobster ravioli. Both were good. Although I did not give it a 5 star rating it was a solid 4.5.

We went to the restaurant around 6 pm and surprisingly there wasn’t a wait. There was live music playing out front which they ha e tables out front but we sat inside near the door so we could still enjoy the music. The service was excellent. The only thing that bothered me was we orders chicken fettuccine which wasn’t in the menu but the waitress said they surely can make it. The bad thing is the cost was $32.50 each! We orders 2. My husband ordered a shrimp scampi for only $28. Other than the expensive chicken fettuccine, everything was good.

I guess it’s supposed to be a more upscale Italian place? The prices are definitely very high for the amount of food that you get. Cheapest this should I was able to locate was 18 and $19 all the way up to $56 for a plate. The little bit of food that we get together it was tasty, and the lobster raviolis we got word different from normal restaurants, however, not enough to justify the prices of this place. The server was nice enough to let my family sit there for a few minutes before I arrived and did provide them with water and for free bread, however, after that it goes down idle as we felt ignored and he really never came back after that. The environment is nice, it is in the fashion of Italy, with a full bar attached to the Joint and I probably won’t go back there just because of the prices and quality of food.

Stopped for an impromptu dinner while perusing St. Armands. So glad we did!!! I more than enjoyed The Trio. The lobster ravioli, veal/mushroom ravioli, and spinach/cheese ravioli were all to die for, including their respective sauces. The lasagna was a classically flavorful dish and devoured quickly. The waitress was kind enough to bring us the most delicious pesto for dipping our fresh bread – highly recommend!! The most amazing meal. 10/ 10 would visit again!!!

We ordered a margarita Pizza to share thinking it would still be the original price of 18$ however they charged 24$. We only saw this after we left the restaurant so I’m not sure if it was a split plate charge but if so they should have let us know at the beginning!! The restaurant was empty so I guess they wanted to be greedy with us. It deserves the low reviews, don’t go here !

My family comes to Sarasota every year, St Armands is usually a place we frequent. This evening when we were looking for dinner we typically go to the Columbia , but while shopping the owner of the shop pointed us in the direction of La Cologne .It’s stated on the map of Saint Armands to have gluten-free options. Once arriving to the restaurant the hostess did let us know that they had gluten-free pasta and pizza as well some of the entrées that could be made gluten-free however they did not have a gluten-free menu. I inquired if they cooked there pasta in separate pots as my children did have allergies . The hostess said it is cooked obviously in a shared kitchen , which we are well familiar with , but she reassured us that they were very careful. After sitting down and waiting quite a while for a waitress to come and take her order. When she arrived she said that we could not order the pasta as it was not safe, She did not seem very knowledgeable about gluten-free items which I found very surprising considering it states on the circles directories that the restaurant has gluten-free options. I’ve never been to a restaurant where it has stated that and the serving staff was not familiar with what would be gluten-free. It took a long time to sort out a couple things in the kitchen , we ended up ordering three entrées. One of my daughters ordered the Shrimp my other daughter ordered the Salmon and I myself ordered the Grouper. I inquired if their fish was frozen or fresh as I would never order frozen fish in Florida, I would just order a salad . I can get frozen fish in Michigan . I was told that their items were fresh. The waitress was not sure if the shrimp could be served with a vegetable?? As she thought it came with a side of pasta ? She excuse herself again to go check but did not come back to our table so we actually didn’t know whether our order was placed and continued to wait another 15 minutes. When I flagged her down she let me know that it was fine but when our meals arrived about 30+ minutes later My grouper was clearly frozen it was overcooked and the vegetables on the side of my plate were clearly Not fresh either. A $37 meal is not horribly expensive but I am in a more upscale area in Florida and when I buy the most expensive thing on the menu I expect it to look appetizing into taste appetizing. Honestly I should’ve not eaten it at all and returned it. To top that all off I’m having severe stomach pain so apparently my dish was not gluten-free because I feel incredibly sick. If the Columbia that is covered with Cuban bread can serve me something and not get me sick I would expect the same from a restaurant that actually claims they have gluten-free options …but apparently that’s not the case. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody that is gluten-free!! Quite frankly I think it is overpriced and I would never spend that much for pasta to get frozen vegetables and probably premade sauce dumped onto a plate. This was not the quality I expect at all when I come St Armands!! Very disappointed in our experience.
