Chef Matthew was incredible, welcoming everyone as we arrived, explaining the menu, and letting us know we’d need to order all at once so the kitchen could pace dishes. Chef Grace was equally fantastic. When there was a mix-up with the beef salad, she fixed it immediately and even comped the beet salad, which was so generous.
The food was fun to try as a Vietnamese household because we knew it would be a unique Vietnamese-French blend. The restaurant is gorgeous with a chic velvet ambiance. Dishes leaned much more on the sweeter and citrusy side which felt at times too overpowering with some strong oyster sauce and curry notes, but overall a great experience. Service was excellent with waters constantly refilled and dishes cleared quickly.
Valet and paid parking nearby made it easy. Overall, it was a special night for us to celebrate a birthday and for my grandma’s last night in town. Thank you to the manager, chef, food runners, bussers, the water attendant, kitchen staff, and valet attendant for accommodating our party of 9!

The only negative is the receptionist, who is truly unfriendly and seems to be doing her job more out of obligation than service. It’s a shame.
On the other hand, our waitress, Greece, was very knowledgeable and friendly and made our stay exceptional.
The dishes and food were beautifully presented, and the quality was unquestionable. It’s a shame about the limited selection of Italian wines.
A word of advice: the restaurant’s name is more reminiscent of a French restaurant than a Vietnamese one.
Overall, the food was good, though I expected it to be better. The place feels quite packed, and it gets very busy, so making a reservation is recommended.
I started with a coconut mocktail that was refreshing, while my husband enjoyed his Hanoi coffee (a spin on an espresso martini). The crispy shrimp and pork rolls were a highlight, wrapped in butter lettuce with just the right kick of Thai chili oil. My husband’s beef stir-fry with flat noodles was outstanding, and I appreciated that the flat noodles were an integral part and cooked to perfection The side of coconut sticky rice was presented in a delicate leaf and perfectly steamed.
I live in Arizona, but I’m already looking forward to my next trip to Denver just so I can try more of the menu. I even emailed the owners asking them to please bring one of these restaurants to Scottsdale. Truly an exceptional dining experience.
Ambiance: warm, romantic, fun. It was “dark” but the table lighting was phenomenal. It felt cozy. Live plants. Some bright pops of color.
Drinks: I had a mocktail- delicious. My husband had the gin & tonic. Really fresh.
Food: So good. We had bo bia, branzino, and shaking beef. Dessert was the sundae and it was fantastic.
We’d recommend Le Colonial to anybody! It was exceptional.
This spot is a gem! From the moment we sat down, the service was top-notch—attentive, kind, and welcoming without being overbearing. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a lunch date or a quiet dinner.
I started with the Mac Top drink—refreshing and creamy with just the right touch of spice and mint.
The fresh spring rolls were light and delicious, paired beautifully with the peanut sauce.
For the main course, the red curry and stir-fried mango chicken were bursting with flavor and paired perfectly with steamed jasmine rice.
Best part: Everything we ordered was gluten-free! The staff was knowledgeable and accommodating, making it easy to dine safely without sacrificing flavor.
Highly recommend if you’re in the area. Beautiful setting, amazing food, and five-star service. Will definitely be coming back!
I trying to complain about my table server only.
Ukraine woman who is cute & served very well at the first time.
But time goes, when my husband did small talks to her, she always winked to my husband end of the sentence. (at least 3 times which is I remembered)
Did we went hooters?
Is it normal attitude to customers who come as a couple!??
Finally she catch my feelings and she compliments about my phonecase before check ♀️ what a good manner! Give a carrot before get a tips??
I must visit there again but could be not comfortable with that kind of server.
