I went to Le Chai this morning for the first time to pick up a special order of Miner wine. The bottles were nicely packaged and meticulously wrapped. What a nice wine shop with a fascinating and impressive selection of fine European wines that you just don’t typically encounter in liquor stores. Also, a nice option of tasting some of the wine before purchasing if you so desire. The proprietor, Christian is a friendly oenophile who is happy to share his knowledge of his wines. I will be back and highly recommend this establishment!

We stopped in when we first arrived in Savannah and tried a sample first. Christian was amazingly helpful and knowledgeable about the wines. We purchased the Tempranillo we samples, it was so good and then purchased two different types of Barbera wine, both were excellent but we also took his advice to let one air out for two hours and wow, it was amazing. Highly recommend stopping in here for some truly great wines that were not overpriced.

We happened to come across this little gem during our trip to Savannah this past weekend. If you’re going to be in town I recommend that this be your first stop. Not only is the owner (Christian) incredibly knowledgeable – trust me you will learn a few things about wine – but the atmosphere is so laid back and has the best vibe. You can walk in to buy a bottle or you can sit and have a few glasses at the bar, chat with the locals, watch some football (soccer) and have some laughs. This was our first trip to Savannah – we will definitely be back and for sure will be back to Le Chai. 10/10 recommend.

Amazing wine bar. Christian was great. Very knowledgeable and a meticulous selection of great wines from all regions. Not overwhelming and a great atmosphere. The one star reviews in here are from people that just wanted that extra customer service that isn’t necessary in a place like this. Christian was extremely welcoming to us and took the time to explain the differences in wines, based on their taste and the regions they came from.

Amazing wine selection! Loved the idea of wines treated as pieces of art! We spoke with the owner and he was very knowledgeable, “clean” and simple descriptions of the wines. You must visit this place after a walk in the nearby park. A glass of wine is always great after visiting Savannah. I loved it

Best wine shop ever. My go-to spot for a relaxing drink after work. I try to come in at least once a week. Great, laid back vibe and excellent wine selection.
As for the low reviews – I’ve been coming in for almost three years and never once seen Christian not greet someone when they come in. He is never the pushy sales guy… If you need assistance, just ask! He’s helpful and friendly and let’s you take the lead in your experience of the wine gallery.

Amazing discovery in Savannah. I was visiting from France and was amazed at the selection of organic, biodynamic and natural wines. I especially couldn’t believe Christian had so many French wines that probably can’t be found anywhere outside of France. I ended up buying a 2017 Rhône and a 2000 Rioja, but was very tempted by the Champagne selection, too! If you are an oenophile visiting Savannah, don’t miss it. Definitely worth going out of your way to find.
