At the “soft opening” today, I had the freshest, most amazing almond croissant. The melty almond filling was stretched tip to tip. The crust was crisp but not dry, and the toasted almonds were crunchy. Tonight I shared a slice of flourless chocolate cake that was the most amazing texture, and beyond chocolatey. The macarons are delicate and gorgeous (great gifts)! I can’t wait to go to the café for lunch. I couldn’t be more excited a fine French bakery opened locally.

Goes around making sure everyones good and his staff are friendly and happy as well! Food is amazing you’ll want to take food home! Family friendly kid friendly! I always wanted to experience the cafés in Paris, but Raphael found a way to bring Paris to me!! Le Carre was an amazing experience from the moment I walked through the door. The glass display showcases the different delicacies. The almond croissants didn’t make it home. They are outrageous! I look forward to another visit!

The food was delicious, it was a nice day so they have the cross ventilation open doors, could have used a little AC. We were there in the afternoon we ordered at the counter, and I did not realize they would bring the food to the table.… Next time I will bring some cash to tip. They just opened so they have some things to iron out. A good experience. A good addition to Hillsdale.

Ok here is a second review from me. I decided to stop in for lunch this time and had the turkey and avocado sandwich. Amazing Crusty bread with a delightful crunch and the ingredients were super fresh and I don’t know what the dressing was but it was super yummy! I also love their daily “Snapple” Iced tea. I do not like anything sweet and drink my tea unsweetened but this was not sweet at all and the hint of the fruit without feeling like drinking a mouth full of sugar was just spot on. Today was raspberry and hibiscus and I have had the peach mango. Supurb! Great job. See you tomorrow…lol 🙂

What a find! Finally France comes to our neck of the woods. How is it that at 48 years old, I just had the best sandwich of my life??!. Turkey and avocado, on baguette so crispy and airy that it borders incredulity. Pierre, the owner, clearly has passion for this. Even the butter comes from Normandy. Not to be missed.
