I recently rented Le Boudoir to celebrate a professional accomplishment, and they exceeded my expectations.

One of the primary reasons I chose this venue was the opportunity to work with Nino, who has a rare ability to guide guests toward drinks they will genuinely enjoy—explaining ingredients in a way that feels empowering rather than intimidating or condescending, and always with an unmatched sense of humor. I’m noticeably more confident ordering at any bar because of the conversations I’ve had with them. Throughout the night, guests repeatedly commented on Nino’s skill and presence behind the bar; they engaged guests with ease while keeping up seamlessly with the pace of orders.

The cocktail menu offers a range of options that suit many preferences without sacrificing quality. The Purple Drink was a particular crowd favorite. In addition to the standard offerings, Nino asked my partner—who was helping plan the event—for a list of some of my preferred flavors and created a surprise custom cocktail specifically for the occasion. It was an immensely thoughtful and well-crafted touch that added something personal to the evening.

The atmosphere was another strong point. Guests enjoyed the snacks from the connected restaurant upstairs, and the layout—multiple rooms that support both larger group conversations and smaller, quieter interactions—worked very well for an event of this type. Although the décor is inspired by Marie Antoinette’s private chambers, it’s suitable for a wide range of gatherings. We rented the space on a Sunday night (when there was no burlesque show), and while the venue is somewhat dark at first, the ambiance quickly becomes part of its charm. Several guests also asked about the reservation process for their own future events.

Boudoir was flexible and accommodating throughout the planning process. They provided helpful suggestions and offered several options to tailor the evening to my needs. I will certainly keep the venue in mind for future gatherings.

The drinks were ok except for the root beer float which tasted like medicine. Did not look like the pictures online. Had a laid back vibe which I can appreciate but it was much different than we expected based on the website. The service was abysmal.

Great place to host a fun birthday! Loved the decor and the drinks were great. Easy to communicate ahead of time about bringing a larger group.

Only thing is the music was a tad too loud for conversation…plus it was modern DJ bops when I was hoping for more of a speakeasy jazzy vibe.

I went for the first time this past Saturday, Dec 28th, and I had an amazing time! The place is decorated beautifully, the bartender was really friendly, and created a new cocktail for the happy hour, that was unique and delicious, and the burlesque show was exquisite. I actually came here to see burlesque. There were two acts with a very talented dancer, who performed classic burlesque, one with feather fans, my favorite style. My only issue was the atmosphere between two acts, there was very loud club music playing between the acts, which in my opinion is not fitting speakeasy vibes at all. I couldn’t hear my friends talking, but I didn’t want to leave because I wanted to see the second burlesque act. If the music after the first act would be less loud/annoying, I wouldn’t have taken one star off, it would’ve been a perfect speakeasy, with great service, cocktails and a show.

Bottom line: intimate space with amazing mixology.

Long line: this bar is absolutely awesome. Hidden away, I wasn’t sure I was in the right place at first. Once inside, the bar has two separate areas (pictured) with one Victorian style one with velvet walls and old timey decorations and the other a brick basement. The drinks are intricate and numerous, and the two were tried were outstanding. Overall a great hang out spot and the prices were actually quite good for the area.

Such a special place to enjoy a delicious cocktail! Swanky, red velvet, fancy digs with spendid service, great small bites and friendly helpful staff. Loved it!

Went here on a whim as my friend and I were waiting for the July 4th traffic to die down. Was absolutely pleasantly surprised with how great it was! The atmosphere is wonderfully dark and romantic (perfect for a date), the burlesque performance was fun, and the staff was very nice and helpful. There is plenty of seating. These kinds of places make Brooklyn special. No line wrapping around the block, no pretentious bar staff, and no overzealous bouncers. I hope this place stay around for a very long time.

I had the same experience as many others in the comments. The burlesque show is great but its one really good dancer for 5 minutes. We were left disappointed, waited a 20-30 minutes in case another performance was coming that never came. The venue is cool and has that speakeasy vibe but the overselling of the show coupled with mid drinks overshadowed it.

Only went to the bar here but can’t stop thinking about it, hence the review weeks later. Shame to admit, but had a few different spirited cocktails all concocted by Victor and T. I am very critical of cocktails, particularly in this area (ahem, Clover Club is not what it’s yoked up to be). You will get a top notch cocktail and welcome here. Only reason I haven’t gone back is dry January. Looking forward to February.
