To start, the clam chowder was rich and creamy and had an abundance of clam and potatoes and was well-seasoned. The french onion soup had a great depth of savory flavor with a light touch of sweetness – if you like french onion soup, this is one of the best I’ve had.
For dinner we had beef bourguignon (very flavorful but not overpowering and generous amount of tender beef, and the accompanying vegetables were perfectly cooked), filet mignon (the cut of meat was excellent and cooked perfectly by sous vide), and spaghetti carbonara (pasta and sauce were well-married). We did add the potato puree to the beef bourguignon and although the flavor was excellent we were a bit surprised that it arrived cool/room temp.
We tried the strawberry and nutella croissant waffle for dessert and found one to be just right for splitting a bite of dessert three ways – the crispy/crunchy waffle edges and sweetness of the strawberry/nutella topping were a nice contrast to finish the meal.
Food took time, this is not somewhere to eat right away. Each dish was carefully crafted with love by the chef. Portions are very European, definitely recommend getting a couple of items. Do not expect to share many appetizers as the portioning is not group friendly. Didn’t get photos of the steaks at the table but to not order a steak is to miss out on an experience like no other in salt lake.
This restaurant is ideal for more intimate dining experiences.
First time at Le Boeuf and it was a fantastic experience. Clementine took care of our table and she was amazing. We felt welcomed the moment we walked in and the whole dining experience was so pleasant. The food was fantastic and all came out fresh and tasted so good.
I loved the Beef bourguignon, Caesar salad, and the escargot. So delicious!
The restaurant was well kept and there was a great atmosphere all around.
Highly recommended for anyone in the mood for French Cuisine!
I was told the dining limit was one hour per table, yet I still had to wait about 10 minutes at the door for my table even though I arrived exactly on time. If they’re going to enforce a strict time limit, I wish the seating could be more efficient and consistent.
The food was honestly disappointing. The prices are low, so I wasn’t expecting anything extraordinary, but most dishes tasted like pre-made food. The one dish I really couldn’t overlook was the truffle ravioli – the plating looked nothing like the photos in their own menu/advertising and came out looking pretty unappetizing.
Overall, the place is affordable, but between the wait, the rushed dining limit, and the quality of the dishes, I didn’t leave impressed. Probably won’t return.
The facility and service were both excellent.
I realize when you are named The Beef, steak is going to be front and center. That didn’t happen to interest that on this trip. Another time we will have to try it.
The moment I walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming. The restaurant has a cozy yet elegant atmosphere that makes you feel instantly relaxed.
The steaks were absolutely outstanding — perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. The sides and sauces paired beautifully, and every dish tasted thoughtfully prepared. I also loved the desserts; they were refined, balanced, and not overly sweet.
Overall, Le Boeuf delivered top-quality food and exceptional service. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable meal. I’ll definitely come back!
Ohh, carbonara (mispelled?), was like 7/10 if your 10/10 is table side at Sicilia Mia in Holliday.
