Le Bistro is one of those neighborhood gems that captures the romance of a French café without trying too hard. The ambiance is warm and softly lit — perfect for a cozy, conversational dinner with like-minded friends on a Friday evening.
The décor is beautiful, blending classic French charm with a touch of modern sophistication. The menu offers a lovely balance of traditional favorites — think steak frites, mussels, and perfectly toasted baguettes — without being pretentious.
Service is attentive and friendly, though evenings can get busy, so a reservation is a good idea. The wine list is thoughtfully curated, and their desserts (especially the crème brûlée) are worth saving room for.
It’s the kind of spot you can slip into after a long week, unwind, and enjoy genuine conversation in an elegant yet relaxed setting. Prices are fair for the quality and experience.

The majority of our reviews are centered around French Onion Soup. We looked forward to this place and finally got to try it. The soup was a solid 8/10. Not too cheesy and plenty of onions. I usually look for more flavor but it missed a little on that.
The Steak Frites was ordered medium rare but came out super rare, almost raw as you can see.
Our waiter was very inattentive and it took what I assume was the manager to come over to ask how the food was. We discussed the steak and he offered many ways to make it up but we were already finished with everything else and it just wasn’t worth it.
Dropping in for some soup might be a good idea if you have a knack for French Onion but we won’t be back.

5 Stars – An Unforgettable Dining Experience
From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm, attentive service that set the tone for an incredible meal. Every staff member was genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to make sure we had a perfect experience.
And the food—wow. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can tell the chefs put real thought and care into everything they create. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a delight. Fresh ingredients, creative combinations, and flawless execution made this meal stand out from anything we’ve had in a long time.
This restaurant has truly mastered the art of hospitality and cuisine. I can’t recommend it enough—whether you’re celebrating something special or just looking for a memorable meal, this place is a must-visit.

Overall a great experience at Le Bistro, despite a few service issues. The food was very well executed and in plentiful portions. The cocktails were delightful. First impressions on service was great with an extremely welcoming maitre d’. However, after we were seated, our assigned server was less than attentive, namely forgetting about the appetizer we ordered as well as a round of drinks after our entrees. That said, it was still an enjoyable evening. Le Bistro is worth a visit if you’re craving some modern French cuisine in Vienna.

If you’re looking for an authentic French dining experience, this restaurant is an absolute gem. From the elegant atmosphere to the exquisite flavors, everything here feels genuinely Parisian. The menu is thoughtfully crafted with a perfect balance of classic and modern French dishes—each plate beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.
But what truly elevated our evening was the bar experience. Marlon, the bartender, is a master of his craft. His cocktails are not only delicious but also incredibly creative. He takes the time to understand what you like and always surprises you with something unique and perfectly balanced. Every drink he made was a piece of art!
Whether you’re coming for a romantic dinner or a fun night out, don’t miss the chance to sit at the bar and let Marlon work his magic. Highly recommended!

Great French Bistro, interesting take on the classics. Phillipé was very gracious with his time and narrative. My wife said it was the best cappuccino she’s had. Reasonably priced menu
We will definitely be going back.

We visit Vienna 3 to 4 times a year from California and love experiencing new restaurants. The cocktails, wine and food were all delightful. The service and atmosphere were perfect. We look forward to returning to share this restaurant with family and friends.

This is our second time in two weeks. First time with another couple, tonight with my daughter. Both times, exceptional. Ordered the Frisee Salad (they call it something else), daughter had the onion soup and we shared the most scruptious Wagu Burger. The salad is better than the ones that Mon Ami used to serve….perfectly crispy lardons and the egg was perfectly poached. The burger, which I would normally not order, was ideal to share….omg it was juicy.

Cozy place and friendly service. My order of Beef Bourguignon was wonderful but my wife confused the Navarin of Lamb to braised lamb we’re used from Turkish and Lebanese Restaurants but this is seared Lamb. The Waiter was nice enough to let us switch the order.

I and a group of 9 women came here to celebrate my milestone birthday a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING- we had brunch and everything was exceptional from the food to our waiters to the atmosphere. It felt like a kiss from God especially since I had been eating French food in France just the week prior. If I could give Le Bistro more than 5 stars, I surely would. Ps that fancy arrangement of forks was presented by the waiters when they brought out the birthday cake my mom and sisters provided
