Le Bilboquet originally opened in New York City’s Upper East Side as a 38-seat hotspot in 1986. After 27 years of success, the restaurant relocated to a larger space on East 60th Street in Manhattan in October 2013. In Atlanta, Philippe Delgrange, founder of Le Bilboquet, has teamed up with fellow restaurateur Rick Wahlstedt, owner and founder of national winning concepts. Leading the kitchen, Executive Chef Cyrille Holota brings many years of experience to the Atlanta location, serving up the same approachable classics such as Cajun chicken served with a heaping pile of crispy pomme frites and green salad, crab and avocado salad and steak tartare.
Upscale, light-filled cafe & white-tablecloth restaurant featuring traditional French cuisine.

Highlights were the escargot (pro tip: dip your fries in the leftover garlic butter sauce), beef tartare, and Cajun chicken. The endive salad was crisp and nicely dressed, the lentil salad was heartier between the two. The tagliatelle pasta is tasty with a nice portion, but after the many “fries as sides”, maybe another protein main would’ve been better. Dessert options are great, the chocolate mousse is quite rich, the creme brûlée was delicious, and the floating meringue on creme anglaise was a tasty lighter option.
The vibe of the restaurant is white tablecloth with wine bucket next to the table, but some pop/modern artwork and music … wouldn’t be my choice, but the food and service were great.
The atmosphere was welcoming, with a modern but cozy vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly throughout the meal.
I tried the Croque Monsieur and it was delicious!
I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a solid European meal in Atlanta! You won’t regret it
