Upon walking by a young guy tried to reel me in there to eat. I’m not much for those kinds of strategies but I agreed to have a few drinks. The bartender, khryschian was very polite and made some exceptional drinks. He clearly knows what he’s doing and values his job.

This place was the first place we tried here in New Orleans. First time visitors and this place didn’t disappoint! We were seated and greeted immediately. The staff was great. We tried the Fish Stuffed Cajun and the Bourbon Glazed Chicken. Both dishes were very flavorful and delicious. Would differently be back next time around.

The food and service were terrific. The couple at the table next to us asked if we liked our food. We told them yes, it was delicious. They then told us they had sampling food in the French Quarter for a few days, and this was the best they had tasted while in New Orleans. The portions were plentiful, and the drinks were strong. We were sitting by the window and had a very interesting view.

We had dinner on the gallery so we could watch Bourbon Street fill up, it was a fun place to do that. Server was nice, restrooms were clean, and the food was great, street performers were just below. We shared the Bayou Sampler Platter.

I definitely enjoyed stopping by here. My experience was great from start to finish. First off cahoots to BAM I was walking on the strip minding my business when she hollered “hey we have the best food and good drinks” lol so I decided to give them a try. My server/ bartender Christian (Chris) was super nice and attentive. I wanted to try the oysters so he gave me a recommendation I don’t remember the name but I’ll post the pics. They where the best charboil oyster I’ve had thus far. Then I had the stuffed fish topped with creole crawfish sauce with jambalaya rice. And let me tell you, they didn’t miss a beat in the flavor. Everything was perfectly delicious. If your in the area I highly recommend trying them out.

The chargrilled oysters were absolutely delicious – I took an extra order to go along with another cocktail to go. Tasty and strong cocktails. The Taste of the Bayou sampler platter and service were mediocre.

I’m a tourist… ordered 60 dollars worth of food to go and every item was HORRIBLE! The oysters were dried out and not shucked properly. The boudin balls tasted like mush and they did not include my creole mustard so they were dry and chewy. The bread pudding was okay, but the quantity for price wasn’t good. Overall, I had a bad food experience- NOT a good representation of NOLA cuisine!

We stopped in on a whim, got seated by the open window just in time for a street drum line to setup and rock it. We had a couple beers and shared a dozen Chargrilled Oysters which were fantastic.

Authentic Bourbon Street experience. We dined on the balcony and watched all the people and performances going on below. The food was wonderful. I had shrimp and grits with fried green tomatoes. First time I’ve actually had FGT and liked them. I’d order again. The service was friendly. Nothing in NOLA moves fast, but it was worth waiting to soak up the atmosphere! It was too dark and I was too hungry to get a pic of my food.
