Very clean. And the owner is such a sweetheart. She’s cracking jokes , and the food tastes good. I’m Haitian and It was my first time having trini food. Finally tasted doubles!!!! And the roti is big. You will definitely be full. No deliveries. Everything is prepared right there in front of you. Only cash. Worth every penny!

This is the nearest Roti shop near me. My family and I have tried this location multiple times. I fell in love with the warmness of the owner. It felt that we were visiting our auntie’s shop. The doubles were really sweet. The veggie roti’s potatoes were yummy. I’ll recommend this location to anyone who hasn’t tried Trinidad food. You HAVE TO BRING CASH IF YOU DINE HERE HOWEVER.

Food was great .. but unfortunately the woman taking the money treated me like a criminal because the bank gave me an old 100 dollar bill..she kept feeling it and even marked it and it passed the pen.. she said no I can’t take this and made me go get change from somewhere else. Maybe the banks should stop passing these out idk but I didn’t like the way she acted toward me and my bill was $54 it wasn’t like I bought something cheap. Other than that I called in an order but instead it was made fresh when I came. Roti was good. Doubles ok.

I was disappointed after driving from Miami hoping to have some flavorful food… the duck curry and goat curry was just some broken bones and shredded meat with no flavor, to me everything was pressure cooked and I was served the bottom leftover, my mistake I should have open and checked the order, the dal pure was cooked in front of me when I opened it up later at the hotel it didn’t smell right probably old oil disgusting… I am shocked people are writing good reviews, just can’t explain what happened to me… never again

I have been taking my daughter to Elsie throat shop for many years and they never disappoint. The food is always fresh and hot and delicious and authentic LC and her staff are kind. They have manners and it’s a pleasure to go there some days they have lovely music playing and it’s nice to just go in there and have a Guinness. It feels like you’re back in the islands
