I placed two platter orders for the super bowl and I called a few days in advance just to even see if they would do the platters. I get it’s such a busy day so I wanted to make sure instead of asking day of. I was told everything was fine and they could handle it. I pick up the wings and it’s crowded but everything is fine. I didn’t check my order and that’s my fault but I left. When I get home, both platters were naked bone in wings and I’d ordered one bone in, one boneless. I call back and explain what happened and I was told I must be mistaken and that no orders would leave like that without sauce. I assure them that they are and I was told I could come back and get them retossed. I live 35 minutes away but agree as I’ve worked in food service and understand mistakes happen. When I drive back, no apology and I ask if I could keep the extra platter of naked wings for my troubles. The girl just grabbed both and didn’t say a word. I received my correct order and checked it this time and the girl asks “What? You don’t trust us?” Never got an apology or that other platter that is probably being served to customers or eaten by kitchen staff. Never again

I’ve only Been here 3 times to call in a takeout order for my Dry Rub Lemon Pepper wings and 1st time they were Great,2nd time They were not seasoned enough and 3rd time was So Messed up. I went in to pay and when they brought me my order I checked it and found that Nothing but the Little Drumsticks was All that was in there,No flat’s or wing pieces. I called over and asked for the Manager and the lady there said I’m the manager so I asked what happened? She said they were out but if I was willing to wait 17 more minutes she would get them for me.An I didn’t understand which lie was the truth or Both lies because why didn’t you just add the flats from the beginning being you made me wait 25 minutes to pick up my order in the first place.She said I believe the person before you ordered All flats so we gave you All Drummets What So I asked my ride could he be a bit more patient so they can fix my order. So she took the first order back to the back and I waited for what I believed to be a New ORDER done correctly. Why did I expect that when I wasn’t even ask if I’d like to have a glass of water while I waited the extra 17 minutes which it was turned to be 20 minutes. Upon bringing the order out I noticed how heavy it was and opened it and She put Flats on top of the old Drummets she had first given me and I said you gave me too much, She this so called classless Manager said Yeah you can have em. I grabbed them and came home to the Slimy Celery that I’ve never gotten before and the flats were Not seasoned or Cooked throughout. I should have gotten my order fresh and redone and my Money back for a almost hour wait for 10 wing’s.SHAME ON YOU. Don’t take our money for a lousy job. I’ll be filing a complaint and trying to get my money back. Those wings that could have been my After work dinner went to Waisted time and MONEY.

We have been coming here for 20+ years, great local bar thst attracts all kinds of people from the community and regulars. Services is always great and friendly, food is consistent, always packed, fun, and people are respectful. We love this place, the serving staff arr amazing as is the owner.

I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the bird cage. From the time I opened the door the service and staff were great! We ordered the wing platter with a side of fried zucchini. The wings were absolutely great! They were big, crisp and juicy. The fried zucchini was also good and everything washed down wonderfully with a couple of golden beverages. I would definitely come back! Poly want a cracker for sure..

Not true BBQ, as you would think. It was ok, but suggest skipping it. The server was friendly & provided great service. Chicken fingers are good for kids. Also, good for beers. Dogs allowed and were around. This was during lunchtime.

Overall Lazy Parrot has been a pretty solid lunch stop for me and my work force. Between all of us we have experienced a good portion of the menu. Everything from the wings (boneless and traditional), sandwiches (Hot and sweet heated & Cassie delight etc), pizza (for it’s designated weekly special), their salads (chef & tender salads), some of lazys wraps/quesadillas, side items and the ribs.
Lazy has great/nice sized quality bone-in wings and the boneless wings aren’t bad either if you are into that. The parrot provides an endless list of sauces that anyone can pull something they like from. The wraps and sandwiches and salads are usually on point with freshness. Portion vs Prices are also a positive here.
As for the ribs, these are supposed to be stellar and a staple from what I’ve heard (under the wings of course). Our experience is the opposite. They have been dry and overcooked with zero flavor if eaten without sauce. The ribs are one of lazy parrots weekly specials and it seems like they are cooked before hand and then reheated. Anyone that has ordered them before (including myself) did not finish or truly begin eating them…
The staff from my point of view genuinely care if you have what you need and will go the extra mile to fix any issues (thanks Melissa, Peggy and others). They are enforcing mask wearing and Covid protocols.
The interior/exterior are decently clean (could use a deep cleaning but not nitpicking). The men’s bathrooms need attention especially since the toilet area doesn’t have an operational locking handle.
From what advertisements are around the restaurant LP provides great beer and wine specials and also cornhole and a self serve Bw3s style video bar game.
My top notable mentions:
*Hot & Sweet Heated (Add bacon & ex napkins)
-Thin sliced roast beef heated and topped with provolone cheese and sweet heat. Served on a pretzel roll
*Bone in wings covered in Sweet heat, Spicy golden garlic or CJs.
*Tender salad with Thousand island
-A bed of iceberg and romaine, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, croutons, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, topped with boneless wings and served with your choice of dressing.
*The Fat Pig Wrap
-Pork BBQ, baked beans, cole slaw, crushed potato chips and your choice of sauce.

Initially I wanted to place a to-go order for some of their lunch specials but was told they do not offer those to-go so I placed an order for a cheeseburger with fries and a grilled chicken platter. The grilled chicken was burnt in spots and they forgot my ranch. I called and the explanation they gave for the grilled chicken being burnt was that it is char grilled. I still will need to eat around those spots as hard burnt tasting chicken is not appealing to me. We will not be returning.

Laid back beach / Jimmy Buffet vibes…or as close as you can get in the mountains of Virginia. Large covered porch is smoke free and there’s a separate covered patio area for smokers. Loads of tvs covering the games, happy hour specials. Extensive menu of the typical bar food from wings and pizza to BLT, Philly cheese streak, fish tacos. Service is good but not rushed consistent with relaxed atmosphere of a bar hangout vs a high turnover restaurant.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. French fries were cold and tasted 2 days old. Wings didn’t have sauce, and they were hard. Lazy rolls were fried in the same oil as the french fries and oil was old. We called restaurant but was met with rudeness and attitude. Unacceptable. Will never spend my money with this place again.
