The restaurant offers many coupon events with schools and organizations, and the service is generally good. During our visit, kids’ meals were free, and we even got a free appetizer for being first-time customers. Including tip, we saved about 40%. The menu is extensive and the food was tasty overall. The space is large with a nice atmosphere. The only downside was when I reported an issue with the restroom, and the response was dismissive. Still, the promotions and good service made the experience satisfying.

This place stands out for its frequent coupon events through schools and community organizations, which makes it attractive for families. On our visit, the kids’ meals were free, and we received a complimentary appetizer since it was our first time. With the promotions and savings, we ended up paying about 40% less, even after including tip.
The menu is wide-ranging, and despite ordering several different dishes, the quality was consistently good. The dining area is spacious and has a pleasant atmosphere, making it comfortable for groups and families.
One issue I encountered was with the restroom. I reported a problem to the staff, but their response was dismissive, basically telling me not to worry about it. That was disappointing, as I expected a more attentive reaction.
Even so, because of the generous promotions, the overall good service, and the enjoyable food, I left satisfied and would consider returning.

Absolutely unique and comfortable restaurant! The atmosphere is like you’re outside in a pavilion to eat, gaze up at the stars, and meet with friends after long day. The restaurant and it’s staff are very welcoming, attentive, and kind. The restaurant is neat, clean, and pleasing to the eye. The outside dining area reminds me of camping around a fire pit. The food is extremely good, the seasonings are not too much or little and blend together for a flavor explosion. Definitely going back with my family!

Updated because we go often and love it. Last weekend Rachel was our server and it was the best meal so far, and her service was impeccable. We love lazy dog. Excellent service, quality food and great specials. The take home frozen dinners are awesome as well.

THE best service, food, atmosphere in town! You can find something for the pickiest of eaters. I highly recommend the Mediterranean chicken bowl. Perfectly grilled pieces of chicken, hummus, and rice. A must try restaurant. Ask for Deanna- she is the best!

This is definitely become our favorite place to eat in Folsom. We are members of the beer club and the campfire club and both are totally worth it. The food is always delicious. The chicken tinga tacos are yummy. My favorite thing is the fried chicken dinner and I’m usually not the type of person to order chicken at a restaurant but it is top notch. . The new hot honey feta dip appetizer is to die for

I came here expecting to find a new place to frequent a lot. It was my first time here and I decided to dine in instead of takeout. I like the variety of menu options and decent prices and customized combos you can make. I had the $12.50 lunch combo with the chicken and bacon avocado sandwhich, house salad with ranch and fries. I also got the cheddar bacon biscuits for appetizer.
I ordered a coke to drink which the first one was flat but the server was kind enough to fix it. Everything else was highly disappointing. The salad portion like many have mentioned was pretty small, it looks like a lot but it’s mostly big pieces of spinach spread out on a plate, the Croutons were hardened pieces of bread with spices, the ranch was barely a small drizzle, not enough to even taste. The biscuits were so dry, even with butter, they were very dry and had no flavor. You get 4 for $7.50, which they were decent size but still the taste was just awful. The sand which, bread was very hard i could barely chew it, and everything else in it was just bland to me. Fries were ok but not my favorite kind of fries. I do have sensitive teeth so that didn’t help that I couldn’t chew most of the hard stuff but that wasn’t the only issue. I did tip the nice waitress since it wasn’t her fault, and she did her job well. I just wish my experience was different.

Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! We had Jonna as our server and she was outstanding, the atmosphere was welcoming, and every detail was clearly thought through. You can tell how much care and passion goes into her work here—she went above and beyond and truly made us feel taken care of. The food was amazing, and the overall experience exceeded expectations. I’ll 100% be recommending this place to everyone I know. So well deserved!

Sunday dinner 10/12/25 – Music is a bit loud for sensitive diners. Service was mediocre. We ordered a trio Appetizer of deviled eggs, good but deep fried :/ which is not my favorite; Brussels sprouts which were good but too many capers/over salty you had to pick around them; and lemon pepper tater tots which were unpleasantly over seasoned. If you had them with the rather bland dip it “balanced” them out but we like salt and they had 2x as much seasoning as they needed. I ordered a Cobb salad which was fine, but came dressed which was alot of dressing with very little flavor aside from the egg and avocado for a Cobb salad if there was chicken or bacon in there i couldn’t see or taste it. Everything was chopped fine and its just predominantly lettuce. My husband had the bimnbap which he enjoyed though small. And our daughter had the chicken pot pie which was 80% thick beschemel. She had to hunt for vegetables and commented she ordered a pie and not a stew. She said at least the crust was good but my husband tried it and said: “wallpaper paste… costcos is better.” Our appetizer dishes sat even with them stacked by the edge of the table while the waitress came and went several times. And their lemonade was unavailable while they waited for someone to change the bag and I had to remind them we wanted one after our meals arrived. Disappointed… I lived in Huntington Beach when the 1st restaurant opened and it was one of our favorite restaurants. We would always get the hummus trio and the salads were bountiful. Since the menu changed we’ve tried to give it a chance… I keep hoping the fresh eclectic food will make a return to the menu… this trend toward fried, over sweet, and oily is just not for us and this was probably the last time we’ll come back. I miss the dog pictures. I dont get this “rocky mountain” restaurant shift. The lazy dog used to be fresh eclectic beach scene Californian.

I felt safe in the area. High area of traffic from cars and people. Large menu selection. Went here on a Saturday and noticed they have a brunch menu. Our server was great and the manager checked on us. Portions were a great size. Lunch combo for $12.50 was money well spent. I would come back here with friends and family.
