The entire dining room is on the patio while partially enclosed from the street and surrounded by palm trees, shrubs and greenery. The tables are either wood, metal or combination of the two. We were the first to arrive so we had the space to ourselves for a while.

As we chatted, our server, Haru, checked on us several times, he was attentive and kind. We finally looked at the menu and I ordered the Sun Dried Tomato Omelette which came with spinach & goat cheese. With the omelettes you get a choice of fruit, roasted potatoes, hash browns or a side salad & toast. The choices of toast include an English muffin, sourdough, or rye bread. They also have gluten free bread and bagels as options. My date ordered The French Toast special and got scrambles eggs for their style and chose bacon over sausage.
We didn’t wait too long for the plates to come out and the portions were large. My omelette was a little overcooked, but layered nicely as I could see all the ingredients as I cut into it. I surprised myself by eating more than half of my plate and that fine gentleman put all of his food away. For drinks we had peppermint and green teas and an orange juice.

For the two of us the bill was a few dollars shy of $40. If you ordered lightly, it can be less. Located centrally on Pico Boulevard, a few steps from Santa Monica College and across the street from the library, LD is a neighborhood staple. Break bread with them sometime!
Thank you for your service!

Carne Asada was perfectly seasoned and tenderized.
Potatoes were Excellently made also with the tenderness and spices.
I didn’t have to add anything to my food. Very pleased with my choice this day. I will definitely be visiting again soon.
Customer Service was Awesome!
Lazy Daisy Cafè is a colorful quaint outdoor cafe located on Pico blvd and 23rd st in Santa Monica. This little café offers an all-day menu of breakfast omelets, french toast, pancakes, sandwiches and salads as well as an espresso.
I came as a first time customer and was met with a nice smile and greeting from a female hispanic hostess. It has mostly outdoor seating. I perused their menu and it has a modest food and drink items. I had a French Toast Special x Iced Coffee. Both taste good and modestly satisfying.
Service was impeccable. Staff were cordial, attentive and professional. Prices were super reasonable despite its location. Street Parking was available and easy to park.
Overall, it’s a nice cafe to grab a quick breakfast or lunch in a quiet street. I recommend you visit.
